I don't think she's dead. They went to a high school reunion and she was definitely still alive. I think it was their 20 year at least.

That episode sucked. Totally lame filler crap.

This. I really think it would be a weird way to end a sitcom & a slap in the face of all the fans who've already been watching 8 seasons. Like another PP said, I think he's just so depressed from being alone & so excited to meet her.

It was a terrible episode. Just a bunch of Ted's imagination which doesn't add anything to the story. Not even the speech and the singing at the end could change my mind. It was awful.
