Yolanda is full of shit. How does Lyme disease make you call someone an asshole? She was also adamant that the ladies didn't welcome her into their group even though (apparently) she was too busy obsessing over her husband to make it to social events. I also thought it was great that Kim could articulate why it was so hurtful that Yolanda was lying about Kim not showing up to the spa thing.
WTF is Adrienne's big secret? The whole surrogate thing? I don't get it
So full of thoughts, but first I have to agree with the comments above.
Other thoughts:
-WTF was up with their collective outfits. Other than Brandi (who is just gorge and could look good in a paper bag) those dresses were horrid. I'm in particular looking at Kim, Kyle and Lisa.
- I was never a Yolanda fan, so I may be biased, but I feel inclined to believe what Kyle said. Even if what she is saying isn't 100% accurate, I still feel like it is probably true in some form. Like for instance, Yolanda is always preaching that people should speak for themselves, people should be direct and handle things with only the person they have a problem with and not include others, people should pick appropriate times/places to address issues. Yet SHE felt it was appropriate to SPEAK for Brandi and initiate that discussion with Marisa at Lisa's PARTY. Umm, hello. Let Brandi speak for herself and WHY ARE YOU IN THE CONVERSATION?!
- I admit, I don't know much about Lyme disease, but I don't buy that story about Lyme's being the reason she called Taylor and asshole either. First of all, she was addressing Taylor rather coherently if I recall correctly. She didn't seem to be at a loss for words or unable to form a sentence. Second, I think she is confusing Lyme's with Tourette's in her little "cover up" lol.
- Kudos to Kim for standing up for herself and calling Yolanda out on the whole Master Cleanse scandal. I laughed when Kim made that comment about squeezing lemons.
- Kind of confused why Andy chose to announce Adrienne's official departure from the program at the reunion. I suppose it was to get a "shocked" reaction, but I thought the whole thing just seemed so rehearsed, even if it wasn't. Also, was Adrienne fired because she didn't attend the reunion? I didn't understand Yolanda's comments about needing to attend a reunion if you wanted to keep your job (or whatever it was). Also, if that was the reason, then why wasn't Jacqueline from NJ fired when she didn't attend?

Jacqueline wasn't fired because in reality, she was told not to attend the reunion because she wasn't able to keep control and was spilling too many secrets out of anger. My eyes have been OPENED big time after reading the blog Fame Whorgas which really explains a lot as to why things have happened the way they have on RHNJ, it's disgusting how the Gorgas/Wakiles/Manzos act.
And I was also happy to see Kim stand up for herself, I feel like she is trying really hard to pull herself together and not just relapse again. I'm pulling for her!
As for the lymes, my mom has advanced lymes disease that has affected her brain and her heart. She has short term memory loss and experiences a lot of what Yolanda was trying to explain. However... I don't think it's a valid excuse for why she called Taylor an a**hole. You may not be able to form cohesive sentences or think clearly, but you know better than to say something nasty unless you really mean it.
I can't wait for the 2nd half of the reunion. I do like how Yolanda got called out. I like her but I've grown a bit tired of her "holier than thou" attitude she has.
I was a little shocked at how they opened the show, focusing so much on Adrienne. She didn't show up. Who cares! Jacqueline didn't show up to NJ reunion and barely nothing was said.
Adrienne is lame. She shouldn't have been on the show at all. She was the biggest self-promotor on this cast, but once it turned personal, she was peace out.
Kyle is a douche. She should get kicked off the show because she brings in Faye and she's probably lobbying hard for her to replace Adrienne.
Kim is offended by everything, holy walking on eggshells.
Love Lisa, Brandi & Yolanda (she is still verbally awkward or un-PC though, but I like how she calls people out).
I agree with all of this.
I was really starting to like Kyle, but I hate how she brings Faye into everything and then tries to act surprised when the drama starts.
I'm glad Adrienne is gone. She never really brought anything to the show. In the beginning she was kind of the calm voice of reason but then it's like she just flipped and started trying to use her "fame" to sell those awful shoes and handbags no one cares about. I also think it was really aw'ish for her to show up for a few minutes at Lisa and Ken's party after the announcement of her separation from Paul. Then she gets upset that Lisa didn't join in on her pity party there.
I heard about Adrienne and Paul using a surrogate, but I wonder if perhaps she used donor eggs or something and maybe her kids don't know, which is why she was so upset? Otherwise, I don't see why this is such a huge deal. It's not like there is anything wrong with using a surrogate.
I really hope that Faye doesn't become a regular cast member. I think maybe they would choose Marissa over Faye.
I defended Kyle for a long time, but no more. She's so fucking fake. If drama always follows you, and you're always in the middle of it, that's not because you try to be the peaceful moderator. Admit you love the drama and the attention it brings to you because you get to be so tearfully upset when your "friends" fight.
And Faye. Ugh. I'm surprised Brandi didn't smack her smug look right off her face. I'm not given to violence and rage but someone like Faye would bring it out of me. BH is really the only of the franchise I watch, but it would be completely unwatchable if Faye got more airtime. As it is, I pretty much fast forward through any scene with her.
I forgot to mention that I loved Lisa's accusation of Kyle being suddenly buddy-buddy with people so Mauricio can get the real estate listing (see Lisa, Adrienne, Marissa's MIL, Camille, Mohammed--Yolanda's ex-husband). Then once the sale closes, buh-bye, nice knowing ya. I thought it was really odd that Kyle was crying hard when she spotted Adrienne at Lisa's party. Then she admits at the reunion that she's never been close to Adrienne. WTF?
Kyle always says she's a girl's girl, but I think not. Unless that girl is Faye Resnick. She doesn't even seem that close to her sisters (definitely not Kim, and the other sisters too, unless they are promoting their business, etc.). They are never there when there's a family event for Kyle or her kids. Kyle is a total user of people. And a big-time shit stirrer. And lol, I can see your Spanx at the top and the bottom of your ill-fitting dresses.
I hope Camille sits in on part 2 of the reunion.
Ha ha. All this is so true. Thanks for writing what I was thinking. I really can't stand Kyle and her bird face.
You're also so right about having to walk on eggshells around Kim, who's offended when the wind blows. I can't stand them. They are classless.
I thought it was really odd that Kyle was crying hard when she spotted Adrienne at Lisa's party. Then she admits at the reunion that she's never been close to Adrienne. WTF?
Yes! That was totally weird! I thought that she and Adrienne were pretty good friends because of that because of the way she and M always defended A and Paul and just the general carrying on she and Mauricio did over Adrienne and Paul during the season. Then she's like "Yeah, we aren't really close at all" at the reunion.
I think that you can stand up for someone even if you aren't close friends with them. Brandy's reasoning for spilling Adrienne's "secret" was immature and stupid. Also, I think Mauricio and Paul are closer than Kyle and Adrienne anyway.
It's part of being a good business person to recognize that anyone could be a potential client. I don't really blame Mauricio for that. I also don't think he and Kyle befriend people only to get a client and then drop them once the house sells. I thought it was shitty for Lisa to suggest that. She and Kyle clearly have their own problems aside from anything having to do with Mauricio or real estate.
