The BM dresses for my wedding were black cocktail dresses from Ann Taylor. I picked those because I didn't want something that screamed "This is a bridesmaid dress!" in case my two BMs wanted to wear it again. To my knowledge, though, they haven't re-worn it. I don't think my one BM has been to a formal occasion since my wedding, and my sister/MOH prefers colorful clothes.
I bought myself the same dress a year before my wedding, and I wore it a couple times. I'd wear it again but I don't think it fits anymore
I had one dress that I would have loved to have worn again, but the situation never came up, and now I'm about 8 sizes larger . Not sure why I haven't given that dress away yet, it's still hanging in my closet in my parents house and I haven't even lived in their same town for 8 years.
My sister is getting married in August and I know that her dress is the type of dress that I could wear again. She also went with the simple black dress- she chose the collection and we each selected a style that would flatter our body.

The one I wore in my sister's wedding was a vision with a lavender "satin" skirt, a floral calico looking top with puffy lavender cap sleeves, sweetheart neckline and pointed bodice. My daughter used it for a halloween dress when she was about seven and playing princess dress-up. Technically it was worn again but not by me and as a play and Halloween dress. I guess that might give an idea of how fabulous it was.
My mom's second wedding was rather pretty but I never wore the dress again. White chiffon with blue embroidery on the bodice. Not too painfully bad for a 15 year old to wear. I suppose I could have re-used it for one of my high-school formals but I just never did.
At least I was courteous enough to pick a pale blue chiffon that was cheap enough we never had to worry about whether it could be worn again. It was rather pretty, actually, even for the 80s. Especially for the 80s.

No, and I don't plan to...I know I am buying it for that day, and that's fine with me. I sell them on ebay after the wedding. I am in another wedding in July and I will be selling that dress as well.
One of my BM's wore her dress to her senior prom this year (my BM's had long dresses) she loved it that much.
I haven't been a bridesmaid but my SIL wears her 'best man' dress from my wedding often. She might have a unique situation though in that she (1) got to choose whether to wear the same dress as my sis, the MOH, and if so, in what color she preferred it; and (2) is a musician who performs in formal recitals with some regularity.

I've been in 4 weddings, and one of those dresses I have worn twice to different formal occasions. The other three, there was absolutely no hope.
I let my bridesmaids decide together on a dress to wear. I was out of the country during that period in my wedding planning and really didn't care as long as they fit the color scheme (Brilliant plan, right? No complaining!). When I got back I saw pictures of what they chose and thought they were so cute I almost bought one for myself (it was from Nordstrom's). Once we actually got the dresses in the mail it turns out they were almost transparent, and everyone complained about how low-cut they were . I doubt anyone wore theirs again. Fortunately, they were cheap.

I've only been in one wedding. The dress is actually really pretty, but way too formal for anything that I'll ever attend. It's also too big for me now, so it just hangs in the closet...

I was just in a wedding this weekend and I will absolutely wear the dress again. The bride actually picked out a seller on etsy for us. We then picked the style we wanted and we all get dresses in the same fabric. The best part was that the dresses were made for us so no alterations were necessary.
Nope, but I've only been a bridesmaid twice. If I really wanted to, I could probably wear the most recent dress again. I might be more likely to wear it again if it was in another color.

I wore a strapless bubble dress (black) as my sisters MoH. I have worn it 3-4 times. I was even quoted in a newspaper article because of this reply to another nest poll from a reporter I actually wore it to a wedding before my sisters wedding. She didnt care.
