my H doesn't watch any HBO series, so in his opinion, it's not worth an extra $50/month just for GoT and True Blood. I do see his point, but... le sigh. this will be the first year I've missed either show and would have to wait for dvds.

I cannot wait!!! I think I heard that book 3 is going to be 2 seasons since so much happens in it. I have a very definite idea of where season 3 should end if that is the case.
We saw either a scouting van or one that was filming scenery shots when we were in northern Iceland in November. I cannot wait to see the north of the Wall scenes so we can recognize places.
We had a free preview with direct tv this weekend and I got sucked back in and ended up adding hbo. It's $18/month...sigh..my reasoning....walking dead is about to end! FWP!
Yes, although even with the catch-up show I think I'm still lost as to what's going on. It's been so long!
Catch-up show?
Yeah, there was a Season 2 recap show...basically the actors recounting where everyone's story left off. Not sure when DH taped it, we watched it last week. I bet they'll play it again a bunch before the premiere.

Do you only have the channels HE watches?
I couldn't live with a man who dictated the entire television lineup.

this is quite insulting. I do have my own channels and shows that I watch and he does not. but really? $50/month for 2 shows, and they're aren't even on at the same time? April -June for GoT, then June-August for TB... so about 5 months x $50 = $250 to watch 2 television shows.
it's a smart JOINT financial decision, not an emotional one. we've both chosen to spend our money elsewhere.

Get them on iTunes. Or, order hbo and cancel in the off season.
