I thought that the story was a little weak to be honest. I know that they are building to who/what Clara is for the rest of the season but this sort of felt like filler. It wasn't particularity scary or thrilling. I do like Clara though, she's sassy. I think she'll make a great companion. Did anyone see that the book that Angie had was written by Amelia Williams? That was a nice touch. Also, it was called Summer Falls (and those two on the cover kind of look like Sherlock and John, according to the internet).

I'm with both of you. It was definitely more of a "filler" episode, but I am excited to see how things pan out.
We missed the book thing, I should know better about looking for details like that, and I think the obvious choice for the " lady at the shop" that gave Clara the number for the help desk was River Song.

I have to say, my pet peeve was that when the incredibly creepy robot activates and turns its head around in VERY SLOW MOTION...why are you just standing there gaping? I can imagine being shocked into paralysis the first time, but the SECOND time? Run, bitch! I thought the plot was pretty good. I guess we'll see how interesting the Great Intelligence will be as a villain. I think for the most part it was a pretty run-of-the-mill episode, with the Doctor's co-opting of his doppelganger robot being probably the most interesting part. I do like Clara, though, and the Run You Clever Boy and Remember Me as a mnemonic for the WiFi.

I really liked it. Even if an episode feels like "filler", it doesn't really bug me. I just enjoy watching it and picking up on the little intricacies.
I do like Clara a lot. I wish River was going to be in more episodes.
