She's hilarious. They did a story on her on the news and asked her what her secret to longevity is and she said "money, I have lots if it and in not afraid to spend it. Oh, and the sauce. A little bit every day".
She's full of shit though. She spends it all on herself, so it's not like there's any benevolence involved in her spending. She's just really good at paying people to do things for her, which makes life pretty easy.
Wine, boyfriends, money! Now I know why she lived so long.

My day's oldest sister is probably pushing 70 now. I don't come from the hardiest stock, unfortunately. But dhs grand pop is in his early nineties and still ticking, god bless him! I feel so bad, bru Lucy's terrified of him-he isa little hard of hearing. Honestly DH is uncomfortable around him, too. Sad
I'll delete this before I go to bed tonight but this is my grandpa. My uncle (pictured) just posted this because they went to Boston to visit him. I had such an emotional reaction to this picture, I started crying. I miss him and haven't seen him in so many years. I also haven't returned his calls in the past couple of years since me and my dad had a falling out because I don't know what to say to him. I know he's going to give me hell. God, everything is a mess right now.
Well, this is sort of depressing. Closing on 70 is the oldest. I am not 100% sure how old my mom's oldest living sibling is, but it would be the 68-70 range. Next in line would be my mom's other surviving sibling at around 67. Then my dad's oldest sibling at 65.
I have an aunt & uncle in the 70s. That's it. All other aunts/uncles/grandparents/parents are gone. One of my great-great grandma's on my mom's side died 2 weeks short of her 104th birthday. Her daughter (my great grandmother) died at 88. My grandmother died at 78. My mom died at 72...... see a pattern here?

My grandparents are all deceased. My mom's oldest brother is 75. My dad's oldest sister is deceased, but I can't remember if she would have been older or younger than that.
My dad has cousins and aunts and uncles who all live to be close to a hundred. I don't really know them, but I can pretty much guarantee there is someone on his side of the family who is in their late 90s at any given time.
My great aunt is 92. My grandma's family lives for fucking ever. My great grandad passed away at 104 and he was living on his own until 100 or 101. He was awesome. All he did was dig his garden and pickle beets. Lol, I remember when he was about 101, his doctor suggested that he get a walker and my g.grandad was like "no way, those are for old people!"
