I'm making a Cherpumple this weekend

Okay, well technically, just a Cherple, but still. It's the dessert Turducken - a cherry pie inside chocolate cake, pumpkin pie inside spice cake, and apple pie inside yellow cake. The friend who requested it is allergic to pumpkin, so it's just the other two.

I don't know why I do this to myself.

I think that the cherry pie inside the chocolate cake will taste good, but I'd rather just have the filling inside without the pie crust.

We are doing a celebration for a friend who just returned from 4 months deployed, so I bowed to his dessert request.
