I like it. A fair number of my husband's friends have been wearing them since I've known them - maybe seven or eight years? But they are from New York. And hipsters. So...
I have several for my kid that he wears with his gingham checked shirts. He can hate me later - it's adorable.
This kid at work showed upon a newsboy cap, bowtie, button down, suspenders, slacks rolled up to show off 4 inches of crazy patterned sock, and saddle she looking things. My BFF asked him if he was in a play lol.
Brightly colored/patterned socks are a thing for men this year too--at least according to the wall street journal article my boss e-mailed me.
OMG, my H wears those too. He's turning into a fashionista!
Yep. Apparently it's a thing to wear brightly colored/patterned socks with your suits this year. The article said they were going the way of the pocket square (which was popular not all that long ago). They interviewed a guy who said that a man who wears plain socks was basically inviting his woman to cheat *-)
Maybe its because we are at the intersection of north and south but I have a ton of coworkers who have worn bow ties for a long time. Especially with spring/summer weight suits. DH rocks the bowtie in his poplin or seersucker suits. I love it. I also love him in Lily- I don't think that will ever be hipster.
