I went into gymboree today, just for fun.  OMG.  I should not have! !!   I LOVE the spring clothes!

This romper is so damn cute in person! I don't think the picture fully does it justice.   I'm too cheap to buy it full priced, so someone let me know if they ever see it for cheap!   I almost would prefer it in blue or green, but they only sell it in peach - which is still super cute.  The pockets w/ the peach are adorable.  and there's a little puff to the bottom of the shorts.  



Maybe I'll try to make one like it.  Yeah.   I haven't exactly been that ambitious though. :*(


I also adore the whale line.  And the octopus swim suit (why isn't that on their website?)!  OMG so freaking cute!   I am such a sucker for seersucker.

I love the whale line so much. Glad I don't have a baby right now. The octopus swimsuit is sold out. I really wanted it. I haven't been in Gymboree in forever, until the last few weeks and started picking up a few of their rainbow line stuff.

The yellow octupus swimsuit? I almost ordered it for DD a couple of weeks ago but I already got the jellyfish one from Crazy8 and they're kind of similar. It's so cute.

OH.  Rainbow clothes?  Rainbow clothes have always been my absolute favorite!   Oh, I keep meaning to ask emsumm where she got hers.

And poppy - it's so cute.  i stayed off crazy 8's site when someone posted a code.  I need to dig out the boxes of clothes for kiddo that my mom and I picked up at garage sales last year.   I know she has some cute stuff.  Why do I want more???  It's so cute!  Why do I want to shop so badly?

It's blue, but I think the octopus might be yellow?

SORRY!

I went in there a few weeks ago with Cecilia, but I had to leave. I didn't think she'd let me out of there. She's awesome in most stores at looking at things, "ooh-ing" and then putting them down.

We walked into gymboree and she kept saying "WOW" and "WHOA!" and then she picked up a pair of shoes.... I had to wrestle them away from her.

I left pretty quickly. I've never seen my kid so into things that she wanted at a store. I wonder where she gets that from? I was really scared she was going to lose her shit when I said no to stuff. I've honestly never seen her like that with items. Everyone's always been impressed that we can take her places, she'll cuddle cute things, look them over, oooh and ahh, and then hand them back. (even light up, fuzzy bunny pens and irresistible stuff like that). Apparently gymboree crosses that line for her.

Yes, go back and get it. I hate that Gymboree never marks their tags with sales in store. They are having a swim sale right now, so it should be 15. Crap always rings up cheaper than I am expecting there, which is nice but annoying.

textbookcase - they have a lot of blues and purples.  I don't know if you're one who likes those for baby girls, but I do.   The whale line is absolutely adorable.


and lol, if you didn't notice, my kid even had several wardrobe changes over easter weekend.   I had the yellow dress/coat combo since before she was born.  12 mo size.  I took it w/ us to Australia last year, thinking she'd fit it then b/c everyone told me how fast babies grow and how big the kids in our families grow, and she was no where near wearing it.  I was excited it still fit for this easter.   My mom has picked up cute dresses for her.  Maybe i need to encourage rompers when my mom shops.

I need to look there. Dd all of a sudden grew out of all her tips in the past week. I went to osh kosh and Carters today and hated almost everything.


Did anyone's kid grow faster after they turned one? I swear she was growing more slowly as an infant. She was in 9 month clothes till she was about 15 months and now she's getting into 3T. She's already 36.5 inches and 26 months and I swear she's going to be in size 6 this time next year.

Not in my case. Kiddo has stayed tiny. She's almost starting to fit 18 mo clothes. Well, she's been in 18 mo shirts for awhile because she has a giant head.

Bonnie also had several outfit changes, lol. She had a pretty church dress that her great grandma sent. I didn't post the picture. Her after church outfit was a cute dress from Target that my mom put in her Easter basket. Then she cruised around in a onesie after she trashed the dress

The octopus swimsuit is $15! I just called the store and they're putting one on hold for me w/ the other stuff I put on hold earlier today.

AHHHHHH> I wasn't going to spend $50 to hit the Gymbucks reward, but I just might. I'll be *saving* if I do, right? The woman at the store even mentioned that gymbucks was a fun way to buy the full priced ones like the romper... bad, people, bad. Whales might come first, but I want to get her more shirts or rompers more than dresses. The purple seersucker shirt w/ the daisy on front w/ a greenish opening was pretty darn cute, too.

 - they had some 3T in the clearance racks that were cute jean rompers.  There were actually some summer clothes in the markdowns!
Easter ones, too, but not the deepest discounts ever.

textbookcase - my kid also had an intermission wearing a duck sleeper set for her nap. : )  I didn't post those pics either haha.  I think I brought 5 dresses to my parents' house since I wasn't sure what size she'd be!

Most of her clothes are 12 month now.  She fits a few 18 mo things, but is still too small for most of them. I don't think she wears any 9 mo clothes anymore.

emsumm - she's kind of a skinny mini.  This picture kind of shows it. 
We have another pic of her w/ her friend at that kitchen.  She looks tall in the pic by herself but when her friend who's 1.5 months younger is next to her, she's dwarfed.  He's a full head taller.

Sorry, guy! I did still think their boy whale stuff was pretty darn cute. But I agree the girl ones are cuter.


It'll be disappointing if I'm shopping for a boy after having girl first, won't it? (as far as selection, not b/c I'd be bummed about having a boy. I'm happy either way).

I really want another girl so I can reuse all of these clothes! I feel better about my purchases if I tell myself I can use them for 2 kids. I feel sorry for #2 if he is a boy, because he's not getting nearly this much stuff. But I guess he really won't care. lol

Haha, I have had that thought - that if it's a girl, we'll get to see some of my faves again!

But then you'll still want to buy some when you see pretty new clothes haha.
