Apparently there's a short 20 min documentary about this. I haven't watched it but a guy I went to HS with (who's a very pro-life pastor) just posted it.
This is very much like illegal abortions pre-Roe v. Wade. My MIL was raised a staunch Catholic, but was an ER nurse in the late 60s/early 70s. She said once that seeing women come in to the ER and just bleed out on the table is why she is pro choice. This article was an incredible read for me: www.motherjones.com/politics/2004/09/way-it-was

I got to the end of the first page, saw the picture and read the description and just lost it. Hard core sobbing, ZB asking what's wrong, which made me cry more. That poor poor woman.

Today is the first time that I'm reading this story because I've avoided it. And now I know why. I'm going to have fucking nightmares.
Through every story that has pissed me off lately - Jodi Arias, The Stubenville Rape Trial, the latest rape cases in California and Canada - I have never really lost faith in humanity. This story is so fucking gruesome that it literally makes me have doubts. I don't have words.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I agree its murder/infanticide and NOT an "illegal abortion". The only time the word "abortion" comes in is when you are talking about what the women were looking for, but that's nothing like what the doctor did.
My understanding is that later term abortions (which are very very few) and largely due to sever medical issues where the baby's situation isn't compatible with life anyway. Then it can become a mother's health issues because it's dangerous to have a dying/dead fetus inside you. So really that situation and what this doctor did were light-years apart.
