Ugh I hated that sweater, I can't imagine wearing that in public. I wasn't blown away by any of them. Disliked all of Patricia's &Michele's. I liked Stanley's collection the best, I would have worn a lot of that.
I knew Michelle would win. If there's leather, the judges love it. I hoped that Patricia would win, but I agree with the judges that her collection wasn't that cohesive. Stanley's collection did look a little old lady-ish. I loved that he used color...definitely more interesting palette than Michelle's murky browns.
Other years, I drooled over the clothes during the finale. This year, I was underwhelmed.
This was the first season in a long time where I was actually really excited about the finalists. I liked some of Patricia's ideas, and with some organization and editing, she could do great things. Stanley's stuff was pretty, but a little boring and "old". That gold peplum was gorgeous though, and I'm glad he chopped that up like that.
I was IN LOVE with Michelle's collection though. I seriously wanted at least one piece from every look that walked. It was super cool, and although I love color, I think the designs she made worked really well with the color palette she used, and the brighter yellow was enough for me. I was so excited she won...totally deserved.
I was surprised by how much I liked Patricia's collection - I wasn't expecting to at all. She had some very interesting ideas. Agree that a little editing would have helped her out.
Very disappointed with Stanley's collection. While some of the beadwork was beautiful, overall the collection wasn't innovative and didn't really wow. It was all things we've seen before.
I really loved Michelle's jacket - the one with the bags attached (while I agree that it was at least one, but probably two too many bags on it).
I liked Michelle and Patricia's collections. I felt bad for Stanley and his dressers since they were sewing up to the last minute. Can't wait to watch the reunion show for the drama!

I loved Michelle and her line. I couldn't believe that Stanley and Patrician were so unprepared once they got to NYC. After all that time at home you should have a clear and cohesive concept in mind! Especially Stanley finishing garments the morning of the show backstage.

This always amazes me. Between surprise final challenges, or (now) being strongly judged and being able to make some possible big changes to some of your looks - all the stuff needs to be AS done as possible so that you can focus on what is thrown at you once you get to NYC.
And what was up with them not adding an additional challenge this season? Unless the producers saw how unprepared the designers were?
I don't think they did last season either. In all honesty, I'm fine if they don't do that. At some point I just want them to let the designers do their thing. I think it's enough to design an entire line in the few weeks they're given!
