I was somewhat underwhelmed. That ending lady who stabbed them both just seemed to have such a small roll and she kind of came out of nowhere in the last handful of episodes. I would have liked it better if it was Emma that did that. I was also somewhat bummed that they spent so much time of the episode finding the FBI lady.
I'm sad about Debra. I would have chosen keeping her over Claire. I was disappointed that Emma didn't have a bigger role in the finale to play. It looks like the rumor morningmania heard might be right. At lest Mike Weston lived! If he'd have died then I might have skipped the second season. Is Joe really dead? Seems like a good possibility but who knows.

I thought the finale was really good. I was sad that Debra died. I really liked her and I would have liked to learn more about her past with the cult she was raised in storyline. I was expecting that Molly chick to show up at some point since she was Ryan's follower especially since Ryan and Claire went back to his place and Molly is his neighbor. I don't know if Joe is really dead or not. I'm sure the 2nd season will have more of the followers continuing Joe's plans. I did kind of wish Emma had more of a role in this episode, but I think that she will be more of the leader of all of Joe's followers in the 2nd season, especially since Joe appears to be dead.

I finally watched it last night. It all seemed a little to "simple" for me. Somehow I do not believe that Joe is dead. It ended with a great finale in my opinion, we are now wondering what is going to happen next season. I was honestly thinking that they would not kill Debra. They did leave her background open, and I thought that would play a bigger part. I will definitely be watching next year.
I have to say this too.... for all of Claire's WHERE'S MY SON?!?!?! scenes, it's yet again one of those plot points that annoys me that she actually didn't go straight to him. They were in Havenport, MD, Joey was in DC. Whereever Havenport is - to get to DC wouldn't be all that far. But instead they went back to Ryan's apartment (which is where, exactly?).
I get it- the ending, they needed her and Ryan together, blah blah blah. But just the overall flow of some bad writing/ scene set-ups that this is just one more to add to the list.

Every episode the ineptitude of the FBI, etc. always frustrates my DH and I. I still like the central story line and the characters, but it really seems like the writers are lazy and think the viewers will buy it. I'm hoping they can do better next season. And of course I don't think he's dead, and am curious as to where we'll find everyone come season 2.
Even the fact that he took her back to his place and will pop in for debriefing tomorrow. Really? They also knew that the followers were out there, so why wouldnt they continue with protection for Claire? But after suspension of disbelief, I wonder what will happen now?
