Such a sad movie, really. Day-um. On the one hand, I can't feel bad for billionaires who are finally get a slice of the lifeisshittysometimes pie, on the other hand... how sad. And he seemed so heartless. She seemed a bit like a mixed bag of nuts.
I saw it this morning too. It's been bothering me all day. Once they had to let go of all the house staff, they should have given up the pets. It broke my heart that they let the lizard and fish die of starvation, lack of care. The dog poop all over the house showed that the dogs weren't being cared for either. I am not sure the children were cared for either. It looked like DSS and the humane society could check that place out.

I watched it last night. It was definitely sad. I think the wife was trying to remain blissfully ignorant of their situation, but she seemed to be far less in denial than the husband. He was a jackass.
I feel bad for the kids, the pets and the staff. It broke my heart hearing their nanny talk about not seeing her own kids for so long.
I don't understand why they kept all of those antiques in storage. Maybe I missed it, but didn't she say they planned on keeping that stuff out of the auctions? Made no sense to me - sell that shit!
Apparently they rebounded and construction on Versailles is back on. What I didn't realize, and I think part of this is because the documentary didn't do a super job with the transitions but this thing was filmed over the span of 3 years I believe and then whittled down to an hour and a half.

Interesting that you can't really find any info about the son who was showed in the documentary. He's not listed on the westgate website
