Gunshots in my neighborhood!

Dude, guys I live in a pretty safe, suburban neighborhood. There's a freaking elementary school just down the road. I didnt hear them, but its the local breaking news apparently. I was going to go running around the neighborhood this afternoon.....I'm glad I didn't now. I wish my H were home tonight I saw the commotion driving home and just thought it was a fender bender or something.  I have this image of a crazy person running around my house now. I can say I feel pretty safe with my pups here at least.

That's scary. Was it a domestic dispute? I know it's flameful, but tend to feel safer in situations like this if it's a domestic/family issue.

The news is reporting the police were serving a warrant on someone on probation. Person decided he wasn't going to comply and shot at the officers. It was several streets over thank goodness, but it happened right around the time I was planning to run. I think I'll be avoiding that street from now on.

Definitely avoid that street. It sucks when something like this happens so close to home.

The situation seems to be under control from what I gather. Thank goodness! That's the first time I've ever had that happen, literally, so close to home. I had a panic moment, but I think I will sleep ok tonight now.

I had to tell someone and my H is gone for the night, and there's no way I'd tell my family and freak the crap out of them. So you guys were my next place to have a freak out moment!
