I got my mom a piece of Christian Royal Pottery. He is a man with Down Syndrome and makes beautiful pottery. I hope my mom will read about him and be encouraged that my daughter won't be completely helpless.
MIL, I don't know. She gave me my gift already. I should have posted it yesterday in the thread about MD complaints because, it's a doozy of a poster. I planned to get her a hanging basket, but now I am stumped. For your viewing pleasure here is what she got me: www.tapestryproductions.com/_productimages/100915_full.jpg
Six months of love food box. Or love box food. Anyway, it's one of those subscription boxes. She's super duper hard to shop for. I suspect she hates everything I send her, lol.

That is... an interesting poster. omg.
Where an I supposed to put this though? And while I get that I'm currently pregnant, I highly doubt I will want to look at this in 10 years. It's not framed either and I really don't have the money to matte and frame a picture that freaks me out (you saw the baby drawn on the belly, right?). I love MIL but stop decorating my house for me!
H and I are taking her and my brother camping for the weekend. Excited! but also kind of stress with planning stuff right now. This week has been nonstop.

My mom's birthday was yesterday so she's getting combo present from me and my sisters. We're taking her to see Les Mis (on stage) next weekend and then meeting up with the Hs for dinner/cake after the show.
Today I arranged a basket of nice silk flowers to take to the cemetery. We have a sheperd's hook at my parents grave to hang it on. I don't like the commercially prepared arrangements available in stores, the flowers just always look so terribly cheap and I just cannot put those things on my mom's grave.
I used to always get her a new spring outfit. One year I thought I should do something different and got her flowers. I learned she liked getting that new outfit every year (even though she often shopped for herself, it was something I'd taken the time to pick out).
I sent my DDIL a Mother's Day card, her 2nd Mother's Day. I also sent one to her mom. Her mom watches our grandson and I cannot think of ANYONE else that would be better to guide and nurture him when DS and DDIL can't than DDIL's mom. I tell all my friends that but I'd never told her and she is the one that needs to hear it so I sent her a Mother's Day card and wrote her a note telling her how glad I am she is the one watching our grandson.
I also got DDIL a basket filled with spring flowers to put on her front porch or back desk. I didn't realize how big it is until I got it home. I was thinking they could put it on their patio table but I think it's too big. I hope she likes it, she's kind of hard to buy for. I know not to even try to buy clothes for her (I never get it right so I stopped doing that).
And Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and moms-to-be on here.

My grandma's 75th bday was last year, and we got pictures taken in her backyard. I got this picture stretched on an 8x10 canvas (Mom and me):
It's definitely not a great picture of me, but it's a lovely picture of her, and she loves me always, so I know she'll appreciate it. She doesn't have many pictures of us together.

It would be tragic if that accidentally got ripped or set on fire....
We had a photo book printed (but there was drama so we had to print it twice and change up some pictures). Mil is getting a ceramic lantern and citronella pillar candles for inside. I legit just picked it up a few minutes ago.
