We watched two in a row last night, so I think we're caught up. So many great lines in the second episode! "Either that, or it was the most boring dream ever." "I'm against this, unless it works." I'm very excited for the joining of the two agencies. I loved the interactions between Don and Ted. Peggy coming back to previously!SterlingCooper as copy chief should be pretty entertaining as well.
I loved the episode. Pete falling down the stairs will never not be funny. I understand why Joan went off on Don but she made a conscious decision to have sex with the Jaguar guy to get her partnership. She can't put that on him. I'm excited to see Peggy back with Don and their interaction. And I think the car is the Camaro. The way they were comparing it to the Mustang and talking about horsepower.

I can see why Joan was so mad at him - his callous behavior in firing that guy negated the really gross thing she did for the company, and he never consulted anyone about it. Though it was pretty clear Jaguar was going buh-bye soon. That guy was an idiot. Roger may have been able to smooth things over at that dinner, but Don wasn't going to put up with it all much longer.
I don't usually care for Megan's parents, but her mother at that dinner was hilarious. Calling the wife the apple that goes in the pig's mouth? Gold!
Joan - I LOVED her speech and I can totally understand why she's pissed, but at the same time - what did she really expect? THe guy was scum. They were only going to put up w/ him for so long.
SO excited for the merge and for Peggy to be back!!

I loved this last episode. Pete falling down the stairs was awesome, I laughed so hard. I'm glad Peggy will be back and the merging of the two agencies should be interesting and comical with all the different personalities.
I understand why Joan was so pissed. Everyone knew what kind of pig this Jaguar guy was all along and then Don just fires him after having to go to dinner with him once. Although I'm sure Don probably thought he was doing the right thing and that it would make Joan happy. But now it's like she did what she did for nothing. I know she got a partnership out of it, but I think she's pissed because she had been with the company for so long and has been a great employee, but in order to advance she had to sleep with a client. This was the account that was keeping the agency going, so to lose it at the time would have been very bad. Although it was her choice in some regards I think there was a lot of pressure for not only her own future but also for the future of the company.
