Anyone watch last night? I stopped watching shortly before Michael left, then tuned back in to see his last 2-3 episodes, then stopped watching again. But I've made it a point to watch the last few episodes of the series, and I'm glad to see that it's gotten funny again.
I thought Andy's storyline was pretty pointless, but I wonder if they're going anywhere with Mark McGrath's comment about the mole at the singing auditions. I also wonder if that girl that Andy was talking to will have a place in the finale.
I really dislike Pam. It seems like Jim worships the ground she walks on (I really don't know WHY), and she gives very little in return. Good for him for choosing his family over a job, but I feel like he had a huge opportunity and Pam's unwillingness to budge forced him into giving it up. I'm hoping that they rectify this in the last episode.
I don't like that they've turned Kevin into a child, but the high-five with Phillip and the iTunes $25 gift card (with $10 still left on it!) cracked me up.
I laughed REALLY hard when Dwight offered Phillip a choice between the beet and the million-dollar check. Especially his comment about most babies taking the check. The buttocks ring was funny, and so was the coffee obstacle course and the AARM crown and the half-genuflect. The car chase scene with Angela was really sweet.
I love that Dwight and Jim are now friends. Dwight's "Seriously, Jim, I need you" line was great.
The dance scene was fun. Phyllis is a good dancer! (I read somewhere that she was an NFL cheerleader in her younger days but stopped due to injury.)

I watched. It was about what I was expecting--though I did LOVE the end dance sequence. Phyllis was a riot and I'm glad that FINALLY Dwight and Angela will be together. I'm guessing that I will be let down by next week's finale, just because I tend to be let down by them.
Loved Angela and Dwight finally getting together ... of course Phillip is his! And loved the dance sequence. Everything else was eh. Also, how long would it have taken the film crew to create that montage for Jim?!? Although that stems from my bitterness over this episode.
Also, if Dwight had succeeded in getting his own spin off would Angela be on there too?

I thought last week was going to be the last we saw of Andy. And yes his whole thing was stupid.
I had the same thought about Phyllis and her dancing. Did not know she used to be an NFL cheerleader. Interesting.
Littlepam, and Jim just conveniently had the letter he took back from the first season. I was hoping they would have showed the viewers what the card said.

Only 2 more hours of this show to endure.
I don't think Angela was going to be part of the spin off. I think they knew early enough on before filming stopped that the spin off wasn't going to happen and I think they changed it up so that Dwight could be with Angela. I guess we are supposed to assume that Angela was somehow able to fake the paternity test results from last season. Although I'm glad Dwight is a dad and he gets to be with Angela.
Since the finale takes place 6 months after this last episode, I'm going to assume we will know whether or not Jim went out West for those 3 months or not.
I've never understood all the hate for Pam. :^)
I really don't see where the storyline with Andy is going and why the crew would still be following him if he no longer works at the office. I really don't like how they turned his character into such a dick this season either.

Doglove - you're totally right. Dwight the manager would have been way more fun.
mbcdefg - earlier episodes tried to set up how hard Jim's pipe dream was on Pam, putting all the family responsibilties on her. I could see why it put a wedge between them - you can really start to resent that type of thing.
Agree 100% on the Andy storyline sucking. Also agree that they should have showed what the note in the teapot said.
I wonder if the ending will be like "The Wire." Showing some people moving on and others moving into their positions and round-and-round we go (e.g., the interns are Jim & Dwight; Dwight = Michael). I'm still wondering how the PBS documentary will fit into the ending. Maybe the time elapse is necessary to show the documentary being a hit?

I agree that she's justified in being pissed at Jim (I was REALLY mad on her behalf when he bought his parents' house without telling her), but I've just never liked Pam that much in general. One thing that ticked me off about her was that she lied her way into being Officer Manager and then did stuff like say she was going on a work errand when she was really going to the movies (Michael's last episode).
It's just a personality thing, mainly.
I think my favorite line of hers, though, was an early episode where Jan split off the women to talk to them, and then Michael brought the guys down to the warehouse. And then Jim and Pam met up and Jim asked how it was going, and Pam replied that the women had "watched a video about our changing bodies."
Can someone remind me what happened a while back re: Philip's dad? For some reason, I feel like Dwight took his DNA in some way and had it tested. Did he just take it but never get the test?
He took it, but from what the viewers saw, Dwight just got Angela's word that he was not the father with no paper proof. I remember thinking, that's kind of weird and figured it was a way for them to leave the story open.
