The Big Bang Theory 5/9

We DVRed this last night and watched it, followed by The Office.

Howard's impressions were awesome! I love how charmed Sheldon was by all the voices.

I like that Sheldon took the time to (kind of) reassure Amy, and also to play the game with her in the bedroom. He's been blowing her off a lot in recent episodes, but I can totally buy that he really cares for her and that he's making tiny baby steps toward actually being intimate with her.

The Raj storyline was a bit dull for me. I'm glad he's got a girl, though.

I thought it was really funny, Howard is great at impressions! I saw him on Conan one time and he did some (I forget who they were now), but they were spot on.

I liked Professor Proton, too. I think Bob Newhart is awesome and his delivery is fantastic, but a TV show hosted by a guy who paused that much would drive me bonkers.

Why Amy was upset: during the game, Penny said that Sheldon and Amy's game characters should have sex since Sheldon and Amy would never have sex in real life. Amy ran off because it upset her that the gang all seemed to think that her relationship with Sheldon was a joke, and she was frustrated that she wants intimacy with Sheldon and he won't reciprocate. He replied that he was happy with their relationship, that he considered it to be an intimate relationship (since he's never really enjoyed being with people), and that he "hasn't ruled out" eventually having sex with her. Then he started acting out the sex scene in the game with her.
