East Ave reopening! Funny, they put the big billboard on the highway, but if you are taking that in, that's probably not your home store, right?
Yesssssss!! I'm so excited! I've been going to the Webster one because I refuse to shop at Tops. Tops makes me so stabby. I didn't realize how much I loved wegmans until I didn't have one lol.

motzie, I'm sad that you're going to be so close to me and I won't have a chance to meet you! (I'm about an hour and a half away from Seattle) But I'm headed out of town too in 9 days! I even *gasp* took a vacation day so we can leave earlier.
I'm running away from the craziness that is my job for 4 glorious days! H is coming too, but I'm not going to let that ruin my time. I plan on taking my cell phones, but I'm pretty sure my work phone won't have any reception, and my personal one barely works where we're going. I can't wait to "unplug" for a few days with friends.
One of my favorite memories of working at Wegmans was when there were two Tops employees (they were in uniform) fillng out applications for a job with Wegmans. Oh, and the not so secret shoppers from Tops.
And PS, we are talking about the Lilac Festival in Rochester NY

Ha! The few times I went in to Tops I wanted to say "you people should really go train at Wegmans!". But I didn't.
LOL I know. They didn't even blink an eye when employees would walk past them to the coat closet and whisper stuff to them or each other.
DH took me into Tops once while we were up there for vacation. I walked through the whole store making a list of the things that were wrong 'Floor is white, but looks grey because it hasn't been cleaned. Produce is a disaster. Cashiers suck and there is no one around to ask for help if you need it...". I walked out and said "Even the old, ghetto Wegmans were never like this".

Yes! I'm one of the cool kids! (hot)
I went years ago with my mother and my aunt (probably 15+ years ago). It's beautiful there.
