Yep, once maddie was 5/6 that should've gone into a safety deposit box until they were ready to tell her or decided if they were ever going to. Once they opted not to it should've been burned, if you're keeping a secret like that you never hang on to the evidence. Have you seen the extra promo n abc.com where deacon confronts Rayna? It's so good. I feel of poor maddie but Rayna should've seen this coming when maddie was asking her those questions and told teddy they needed to deal with it or at least move th evidence out of the house.
Who would have thought that Avery could show so much growth? Sending Scarlett that whisk was really nice. Gunner's taking a turn. Two deaths and Maddie finding out? Big show for not being the finale. I hope next week is just as good.

Holy crap this episode was good!
That was so dumb on Rayna's part not to hide the paternity test. Kids snoop, that's a given. And poor Deacon, apparently he really had never considered that Maddie could be his daughter.
Jolene really shocked me, I can't believe she killed Dante & then overdosed. It really seemed like she was doing well with her sobriety. Also, I was surprised that Dante answered his phone, I thought he was only calling from burn phones. It also seemed like they had been in contact before when she said something about the 2mil, for a minute DH thought they were in on it together.
Gunnar has been annoying me lately. I was glad that Will confronted him at the bar & then helped him in the bar fight. They seemed to patch things up a bit while sitting in jail. Props to Scarlett for telling Gunnar she was done, he needs to snap out of it. Someone explain the whisk to me. I didn't even realize it was Avery that sent it.
In one of the earlier episodes when Avery and Scarlett were still dating there was a scene with him getting Scarlett to sing into the whisk like it was a microphone.

Rayna should have certainly moved the box out of the house... anywhere but the house!
I want Deacon and Rayna to work so badly. I really can't figure out how Deacon is going to get over this huge thing of Maddy being his daughter.
Will was really grating on my nerves a few episodes back, but this one redeemed him a little bit for me.
I understand that Gunnar is really struggling with the whole thing with his brother and all the guilt that he's carrying around, but geez. He's surely got to snap out of it at some point. The thing I miss the most about the "old" Gunnar is him singing with Scarlett - not necessarily on the show, but just the songs. I buy them off iTunes.
Also, Scarlett would be so much cuter if she'd do something with that mop on her head!
but WTF Rayna for keeping the paternity test in a poorly locked box in your house
This! I was like, really, you are gong to keep something like that around the house. At least she could have put in a safe deposit box that was locked and more secure.
Overall, I thought this was a great episode. I knew that Dante guy was going to be the one who died, but I was not expecting it to happen like that.
I'm not sure where this thing with Gunnar is going. I don't think he is going to be able to pull off that he wrote all of those songs. It would be sad if it got out that he stole them from his brother and was trying to pass them off as his own. That sort of thing will likely ruin any chances of him having a real career in the Nashville scene. I hope Scarlett doesn't go back with Avery. Part of me thinks that maybe this Will guy (I think that's his name) will try to hook up with her and since she doesn't know that he tried to come on to Gunnar she might hook up with him.
The preview for next week's episode looks really good. I can't wait to see Deacon confront Rayna about the paternity. It should be a great finale.
