That's fantastic! I really like her. I knew Ryan was one of the writers but didn't know about her. I saw her on one of the talk shows and she was talking about getting called for auditions and people couldn't believe she is completely unable to speak with an Indian accent. She said she sounds like Apu from the Simpsons. lol
And I also read that her real-life parents played her TV parents in the Diwali episode!
Should I watch her show? She seems funny but I never tuned in to The Mindy Project.
I've only seen it once and it was cute. Not sure if it has been renewed? Strangely though all I could think to call her was Mindy until someone else posted her name on The Office! In the previews for the finale - is that her and Ryan with a baby? I have to get some old seasons now. That show was just hilarious.
I liked the episode about workplace-related injuries and stress, where Michael was going to jump off the roof onto a trampoline. And how they tested it by dropping a watermelon and it wound up exploding on Stanley's car ... and how it involved a script (done twice) that involved Michael calling Dwight an ignorant slut. If MH starts complaining about mundane little things, I'll sometimes mock him by saying, "My LIIIIIIFFFFEEEE!!!!"
@mrschicken, I like when the Ben Franklin impersonator was hitting on Pam and she commented that the real Ben Franklin had syphilis. And also how Dwight kept questioning him to see if he was actually Ben Franklin.
I got a little weepy in the episode two weeks ago where Andy sang "I Will Remember You." Also when Pam hugged Michael goodbye in the airport after he took off his mic.

Least favorite (awkward to the point of unwatchable) - Scott's Tots when Michael promised to send a class of at-risk kids to college and bought them surge protectors (?) instead. Just Wow.
Jim & Pam's wedding is one of my favorite episodes. I cried.
I love the wrapping paper desk too.
Does anyone else sing "T-B-S" when the theme song is on? Props to great syndication advertising.

I really enjoy The Mindy Project. But I love Mindy Kaling in general.

I liked the episode when Ryan set the toaster on fire. Whenever DH burns something I start to sing that to him.
I also LOVED the deposition episode -
Jan's lawyer, reading from Michael's journal: I quote from an entry dated January four of this past year. 'Just got back from Jamaica. Tan all over me. Jan all over me. Hee hee. Oh diary, what a week. I had sex with my boss. I don't know if it's going to go anywhere. Jan was very specific that this is not going anywhere, that it was a one-time mistake. But we had sex six times so you tell me. I am definitely feeling very eerie.'

It was one of my favorite lines "of all the empty promises I've made, this was by far the most generous".
My son doesn't go to be until 8:30 so we have to tape the first hour. We'll be in front of the tv for 9 at least.

Also the toaster oven fire where he dragged Kelly out and then army-crawled with the fire extinguisher.
When he threw the bag over Meredith's head to catch the bat.
When Dwight and Jim went on the sales call together and Jim called Kelly to demonstrate how accessible Dunder Mifflin's customer service was, and then hung up on her mid-sentence.
