I'm still not a huge fan of this section of the season. It lacked a lot, IMO and I don't think they built Clara up as much as they could have to help viewers connect to her. I would have been perfectly fine if she died for good in the episode.
Was that supposed to be River's last episode? I hope not. I love her.

I like Clara a lot and was really excited for her after the Christmas Special. Still, I agree Part 2 of the season wasn't great. Someone of the episodes I found to be a let down. Loved this one though.
I am curious what all the theories are for the new doctor.
I was pleased with this explanation of how Clara was in all of those places but how was it that only this version of the Dr ever noticed her?
The going theory is that John Hurt is Valeyard (from the sixth doctor) and probably the one who ended the time war.
I was also please with Clara's explanation. I think it was a nice set up to the 50th special, her interacting with all the doctors. Part of him not remember her is possibly the fact that it hadn't really happened yet or he's just really old. Not sure. November is a long way off
The theory I've heard is that he's the regeneration between Eight and Nine (since that's the only actor-to-actor regeneration never shown on screen). If that's true, it's really disappointing that Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston aren't going to be in the 50th.
As far as Clara goes, I'm really struggling to reconcile the emphasis on her having a meaningful life outside of her adventures with the Doctor with how quickly she agreeed to sacrifice herself for him. Like a lot of you, I feel like we didn't get enough of an opportunity to really know her before this happened.
Re: River, I am going to be so sad if this is her final appearance. I've really enjoyed her character for the most part, and she deserves a better send-off.
