so, i'm kind of interested in what people think about him as a parent but not enough to start a new thread. as a parent, is he putting his kids in a position to have to watch him die then grow up without him? or is he teaching them to achieve their dreams/goals regardless of the risk? is he a parenting asshole for putting himself in life-threatening situations for no real reason or a hero for continuing to do what he loves despite the kids?
here's what's completely flameful: i sometimes wonder this same thing about soldiers.
He mentioned on the Today show that his whole family was in town, he was taking his kids to see all the local sights, etc. I think it is incredibly selfish and while I'm glad he made it across -- I was terrified he wouldn't and his kids would be there to watch.
Don't forget, they are also probably paying him a shitload to do this stunt. So this may be his way of providing for his family. Don't get me wrong, I think he's an idiot. But you didn't have doing it for the money in your poll.
It's in his family circus blood! I think some of them had to have seen his grandfather fall to his death and they still do it. I think he is a shitty father for risking his life in front of his kids but as someone else said its all an AW.
YOU GUYS, go read Gods tweets on Twitter @@thetweetofgod. He's hilarious. I'm following him now. Weirdly the only person he's following is Justin Bieber. But he's still cool.

He is an asshole for doing this.
Soldiers and all service members alike are in a completely different category.
