I grew up in a household where everyone had their own desktop computer (my dad built them). Sharing computers is anathema to me and I don't understand how anyone does it. It would drive me crazy.
Right now, Fi and I each have our own desktop (although I don't really use mine anymore, and it's missing a few pieces because I've cannibalized it occasionally), and our own laptop (both were technically mine, but I gave him the use of my older one when he moved in, so it's pretty much his now). We also both have smartphones and Kindles, and he has an iPad mini that his brother gave him.
For me personally, a tablet/smartphone would never replace a "real" computer for home use.
H and I both have laptops and they are both shitting the bed.
What does this mean?
We both have 2 laptops, plus we both have 1 old laptop each. DH has a tablet that's not great. We both have smart phones. DD had a kid version something.
They're dying lol
My MacBook is 5+ years old and is the most basic white one. It has become very temperamental and only works in certain conditions.
I think Hs laptop is going to just seize up and die any day now. He keeps having to wipe it clean and it takes forever to even turn on or do anything.
I am definitely going to lose the argument for 1 computer. H doesn't want to share.
We have 3 laptops 1 iphone 1 smart phone 1 ipad 1 desktop computer
I cannot even imagine how unpleasant life would be if we didn't each have our own laptops. H has 2, an old one and his new one. I am starting to look in to replacing my laptop.
We have one household laptop, I have a work laptop that he's not allowed to use, and we both have iphones. He always says he wants another computer, but we'd never use it, we barely use the one we have.
