I used to buy those architecture plan books when I was a kid, too I'm a lighting designer, and I went to school for architectural engineering, so kind of close. I still like to look at house plans.

I could look at house plans all day long. :-) Good thing because that's what I do!
I'm laughing that I starred a bathroom with glass block around the shower. Barf!
lol!
I also used to like to design my own house plans, and would do it frequently. Once I tried to get my friend to design a house while I did, and she basically had a huge bedroom with giant tv and bed, and I had a 3bd/2ba sprawling ranch with a mud room and eat in kitchen.
this plan was preceded by astronaut by day, lounge singer by night (3rd grade) and followed by judge by day, lounge singer by night (5th grade). in 4th grade, however, it was all egyptology, all the time. i still read books on egyptology for kicks.

I also wanted to be an architect (my Dad is a weekend-warrior architect so we had drafting tables and the CAD programs at home). I wound up in electrical engineering and my sister just finished her structural program.
I also really wanted to be a diplomat for the UN. I wanted to learn every language and debate! I have no idea where this came from.

I found an accounting book when I was pretty young and I taught myself. I really liked it. I ended up getting a Master of Accounting, but I'm a SAHM now.
My sister and I always planned to open a bakery together. Pretty sure my stuff wouldn't look as good as cupcake girl's. Although I would know to use enough frosting.

I also wanted to be a marine biologist. I'm pretty sure that I had no idea what a marine biologist actually did, but I was sure it involved animals, swimming with dolphins, that type of stuff. When I was in the 9th grade I went to Sea World and decided that I wanted to be a killer whale trainer. I am currently a veterinary technician with an animal training degree and working towards starting my animal training career (marine mammals at that).
At 10 probably a swim lessons instructor or hair stylist or maybe an Artist.
I'm an Architect turned SAHM married to an Architect. I liked Legos & building forts as a kid but I never was into drawing floor plans until I was in geometry class in HS (so 14). I decided that year to be an Architect & never deviated off that. When I worked it was mostly large scale commercial which I prefer over residential. People are too annoying when it comes to their personal spaces. Kudos to you, I can't deal
I wanted to ben an astronaut, but after Sally Ride was the first woman in space, I said "screw that" and wanted to go into advertising. That was my dream for years and years.
