I work at a tiny office. There are 6 of us, all women, and I'm the only one who isn't skinny. Yet, here is our community food. These are two separate built in bookcases full of various chips, cookies, crackers, chocolate covered nuts and fruits, soup, oatmeal, muffins, and more. It's insane. I've started just eating breakfast at the office since i can grab an oatmeal to eat at my desk and there is always coffee made. There are also candy bowls all over and it's good stuff. And pastries on top of the soda fridge more days than not. This is not a good environment for a fat person who is a stress eater in a stressful job lol.
OMG I love the Costco almond toffee and the trail mix. That would not work out well for me waistline. If we had that much stuff here bitches wouldn't need to steal my strawberries.

Sounds like my previous job. We had parties for EVERYTHING. It's your birthday? Party. It's Tuesday? Party. TGIF; party. Don't feel like eating your packed lunch? Party, everyone go buy an item.

I would HATE this.
I gained a good chunk of weight working there. =/ Not to mention, I worked in 4 different offices, different buildings. All offices would do this. The one was located near a McDonalds. Guess who ate a ton of Mcdonald's when someone would step out and say "hey, do you guys want anything?" I drank a TON of soda that year. It was terrible.
This is exactly how my office is except we have a full kitchen FULL of food. They are trying to be more healthy though so we can make salads, wraps, there is always fresh fruit, bottled water, sodas, coffee, chips, oatmeal, tons of frozen meals, wraps, cereal, etc.. It's part of our corporate philosphy and actually we all work more because there is food here we all want to eat. We have gluten free folks and they even buy them special food. We also have cup cakes and fruit trays once a month for birthdays.

REALLY embarrassing confession. Everything I've eaten today has been from this wall of junk food.
Breakfast: Peanut butter crackers and coffee Lunch: Some sort of whole wheat energy bar and a bag of veggie sticks Snack: 3 mini Reece's PB cups, 2 starlight mints, and another bag of veggie sticks (don't let the "veggie" fool you; I think they are probably as bad as potato chips)
Tomorrow I'm making myself do a packet of oatmeal for breakfast and I'm bringing something for lunch. And I'll have a pudding for a snack, lol.

That would be really awesome! I'm jealous. I actually feel a bit sick from all of the processed crap I ate today.
If I had this at my job, I would have to be forklifted from the building on a daily basis.
THIS.
Though - I work from home so I guess I'd only have myself to blame . Of course, needing to lose weight hasn't stopped me from making cookie dough, freezing it, and eating frozen cookie dough throughout the day (or when I walk past the freezer).
I'm very confused at all of you who respond as if this wall o'food is normal in the workplace. Like, does your employer keep the wall stocked or does everyone pitch in $ to keep it stocked? I have yet to even hear of an employer doing this. Who are you people and how do I get a job at one of these places?
Holy crap. There is, no joke, more food in your office than there is in my apartment.
I would keep a food diary like you did so you know what you are eating and can consciously tell yourself "No, I don't need to eat x just because it is there."

My boss buys it all. She tells us each to make a list of what food we want from Costco and then she buys it, and more. I asked for microwave popcorn, chex mix, pretzels, and diet coke. Other people had like 10 things on their list.

My office is like this also. One coworker or another does a monthly or bi monthly shopping trip and stocks the kitchen, and the firm just reimburses it all.
I have to bring my own food in, because everyday that I just say screw it and plan to eat from whatever is in the kitchen, I overeat and end up with a stomachache. I have no willpower when it comes to snacks.
Those Little Bites things would get me every time. I grew up with all homemade meals and healthy snacks, so now I am weirdly attracted to shit like that.
At my last job, my cubicle was right around the corner from "The Trough," where the fundraisers would dump all the leftovers from their events. Also, people brought in whatever cakes/cookies/candies they had extra that they didn't want sitting around their house. I could have lived solely off the that food.
