Saturday morning randoms/musings/complaints/what have you

I have to grade 120 exams this weekend and turn in grades by Tuesday.  But I have Monday off, so I can procrastinate for a day, right?

My dogs got to my in-laws safely, except United lost their paperwork, and almost made the pups stay the night in the O'Hare airport.  Except my mother-in-law is badass, complained to the manager and whomever else would listen, and they finally released them. 

Whenever DH is drinking, he will send me YouTube videos of songs that remind him of me or our relationship or something happening in our lives, with a long, sweet email on why he feels it relates to us.  It's so incredibly sweet and romantic, and it gets me every time (even after almost 9 years of marriage). (heart)

the kids let me sleep in today, dd got up at 8:30, then the neighbors grandkids showed up at 9! ugh! at least they keep each other entertained.
It's kind of chilly, I'm hoping it warms up. I want to go to the zoo.
I'm hungry!

I'm supposed to take my girls over for a swim playdate at a friend's house but two 1 year olds and 2 four year olds in the pool is not very relaxing. I wanna swim playdate without the kids!

I'm debating if I should go exchange the bathing suit bottoms I just bought for the next size up. The bottoms fit just fine right now. The only store that has the next size up is 45 mins away.

I cried like a baby last night after my parents left with my dog. They're dog sitting for the week while h and I go on vacation Wednesday. I'm such a freaking sap.

I am grumpy. I have been awake since essentially 4:30 this morning. And just when I lay down for a nap, h wakes Leo up from his nap on accident and then leaves for an hour run. So i am left alone again with two kids and feeling sleepy. My ass is sleeping in for a looong time tomorrow then I am spending the whole morning at the gym.

We are suppose to go to a grown up pool party today, but it is 60 degrees out. Fuck you weather.

DS has decided it's ok to try to crawl into bed with us when ever he wakes up in the morning. I'm not feeling it. I'm exhausted becuase I got kiked in the gut for the last two hours of sleeping. *yawn*

It's going to be a pretty miserable day. It's 7:30 and I can hear a thunderstorm brewing. I guess it's a day of movies and pj's.

The fly that has been tormenting me for 2 days committed suicide in my coffee cup while I was showering. Thank god I saw it before I took another drink. ::shudder::

The DMV only took me about an hour and a half this morning, including the half hour I waited in line before they even opened. And I had Starbucks and a book to read, so other than having to be up early on a Saturday, it was actually kind of nice.

I'm oddly nervous about meeting with a potential nanny this afternoon. I'm always so awkward with things like this!

L continues to be obsessed with Octonauts and can now identify a multitude of sealife, including narwals, so it's ok, right?

Hs pay got changed from every other Friday to the 1st and 16th. We didn't know until he didn't get paid yesterday because 2 weeks ago the Friday was randomly the 16th paydate (16th was on Sunday). So that was fun yesterday trying to figure out.

We are driving from DC to Memphis, got to our hotel late and got in bed at 3 am. DS was up at 7. Ughhhh. I got an extra hour of sleep when he napped from 8:30-9:30 but I'm tired. On the road again, should be in Memphis by dinnertime. Can't wait to see DHs family!

It is ridiculously hot here. I think it's going to hit 100 today (again) and our AC is worthless upstairs. It is seriously about 20 degrees warmer upstairs than downstairs. I think I'm just gonna sleep with D in the downstairs guestroom tonight.
