The other day I had my first PT appointment for my knees and I am just happy I did not fart during the appointment. I had been having bad, smelly gas all day and I consider it a small miracle nothing slipped out. Thank you, Jesus!
I am also not very flexible, no real surprise there.
I'm really surprised that most of my friends that have kids dd's age (just turned or just about to turn 4) are in regular, backless booster seats. And they kind of act like I'm an overprotective parent for still having her in her carseat. I admit, I would LOVE to have her in a seatbelted booster seat, but that's not gonna happen for a while.
I was looking at these! Do you think it would work well for a regular door? We want a screen door for our back porch, but this seems like and easier and cheaper solution. How do you hang it up?
It would work for a regular door. It adheres to the trim around the door with Velcro and they also included wood tacks for reinforcement.

I just almost threw up on one of our summer students. I am very thankful that I did not, and also that it was a student, since that means I'll only have to feel mortified for the next 2 months, rather than forever.
Happy to go hang out with friends in a bit - need to get out of my head. It's been a rough week. Friends, beer and food is just what the doctor ordered.

That surprises me too.
L is still in her convertible carseat, andI have no plans on moving her anytime soon. I've not noticed any of her friends from preschool in boosters yet and they're in that age range. My bff just moved her twins into boosters at almost 5.

I just discovered that my very last student loan payment was taken from my account yesterday. I am free! We still have about 9 or 10 months left on H's student loans but we are so close to debt-free I can taste it. I just want to get his loans taken care of before we have to get a new car and take on a car payment. I just want to be 100% debt free for a little while.
This was posted by a Facebook friend of mine last night:
"Oh. And if I see you complaining about fireworks tonight or tomorrow... I'll be sure to find a way to ship you over to Egypt where you'll be hearing gunshots and bombs instead. HAVE A HAPPY, FREE, and SAFE 4th of July, everyone!"

We have C in the Graco Argos, which become a regular booster and then a backless booster, but she is still in the five point harness for now and I am guessing a long while more. K took over the convertible car seat.
Today is that annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island/on ESPN. I am both captivated & horrified by this event. H & I accidentally watched it several years ago, & now it's become a sort-of ritual to watch it every year & root for Joey Chestnut. Yes, I am familiar enough to actually know the names of champion-hot-dog-eaters. I'm not proud of this.
We went out to lunch and they had this playing on the TVs in the restaurant. That seemed so weird to me, because watching people stuff their faces until they looked like they were going to puke did not make me more hungry. Yuck.
ETA: Not to say that I wouldn't be completely intrigued by watching a hot dog eating contest. It's just not something I want to watch while I'm sitting in a restaurant eating lunch.

Yeah, I have friends that pushed it a lot earlier with David because he's such a heavy kid (he's 50lbs right now). I'll happily stick with the 5 point harness as long as I can. Why not?
I am doing absolutely nothing patriotic today. I'm just glad to have some quiet in my house right now with DS gone and before the ILs come over for dinner. I don't care about fireworks, any of it this year. Deport me.
Speaking of sunscreen, I finally went out and bought some today. I still have a few more weeks before I'll be willing to go out in the sun but three of my co-workers invited me to go floating with them in August so I did some research and finally decided on one.
I plan to test it out before I trust it to get me through a float down the river. Hahaha.
I think you must be sort of close to me. I'm about 2 hours away from nashville. I always assumed that you were in Clarksville, but now I'm thinking you must be near the "witch"?
i am!!! are you close by?!?! we could have slammin' GTGs in guthrie
I'm about an 1.5 away. R's crazy ass sister is in Clarksville and we go to tons of Titans games. Come October I may need some help with my boobs, so we could have a lactating gtg!
My child has a new fascination with Peppa Pig which now forces her to speak with a British accent. It's slightly maddening. I ended up video taping her hoping when she heard it she would think it was silly, and I just added fuel to the fire.

Haha. David would only respond to the name "Ho" for a couple of weeks. Only Ho.
I HAVE to AW my cheesecake stuffed strawberries, bc I am proud of myself, they are far from perfect, but they are perfect for me. I usually am messy and anxious when making things, i took my time, used piping bags and even did a chocolate drizzle. Im awesome! (Dont mind the messy plate, i will replate )
