After all that is going down, I don´t think I can support CBS for allowing these people to stay on the show and continue to be compensated (they make something like $2000 a week).
Why does everyone hate Elissa because she's Rachel's sister? I think she is a million times LESS annoying than her sister (and prettier too). I actually find her pretty likeable so far.
If people were to dislike me without even getting to know me because of one of my sisters, I'd be PISSED.
Because her sister won BB, and they don´t want two winners from the same family.

That's dumb.
I think it's dumb, too. As if Elissa should have turned down the opportunity to be on the show because Rachel had already been on (twice) and won (once).
I'm su-ure the other HGs would have turned it down had they been in her shoes.

I would vote her off first too. She has an unfair advantage. I wouldn´t want two winners from the same household. I hate it when CBS does this with any of the reality shows, as if there weren´t a zillion other people who want into the house/game and deserve the chance. I don´t think CBS should´ve offered it to her in the first place.

But I don't necessarily think it's an unfair advantage because she IS a bigger target to the other houseguests.
And while it's true that there are a million other people who would want to be in that house, why should she be excluded from the opportunity because it was given to her sister first?
They're not the same person.
If my sister (or brother, or mother) won the lottery, does that mean that I shouldn't buy tickets for myself anymore because it wouldn't be fair if I were to win too?
(Note that I don't know anyone who has won the lottery. Nor do I play the lottery. Lol. I'm just saying)
She has a huge advantage. She can talk to her sister about what it´s like in the house, how the games are played, the strategy. She knows what worked and what didn´t work. She knows how the producers talk to her in the talking head rooms, she has been acquainted with other people who have played and didn´t win. (<----- way too invested in this shit)
To me, it would be like playing the lottery, but already knowing at least 2 numbers.
I was reading an article written about all the racism in the house (I've never watched BB and was curious) and one of the commenters on the article said this: "The ironic thing is how the UK versions of the show handles these sorts of things...if someone says something that someone else in the house might possibly construe as hateful, racist, bullying, homophobic, etc, Big Brother calls them into the diary room, reads them back verbatim what they said, reminds them of the house rules on hateful speech, gives them a warning and says that if this sort of behavior is repeated, it's grounds for immediate eviction. And asks them if they understand why this is being done.
And then they air the entire hand-slapping process.
US needs to take a note from the UK rulebook on this one, IMHO."

Well wouldn't that be nice?
I would love them to do this - and then see the dumbasses trying to "explain away" what they said. You can't bet they'd say "I have gay/asian/whatever friends"!!

I don't know - don't the other people have sort of the same advantage having watched past seasons? I mean I know they don't show everything but I would bet some of them watched the feeds...

Yes, but everyone has the opportunity to watch the feeds, the show and the blogs.

While I agree that it is annoying to see siblings/relatives of former contestants or even the same contestants show up season after season (the Hantz family anyone?), I don't see TPTB changing that tactic anytime soon.
I disagree that she has an unfair advantage - everyone knew who she was (a blind person could see the resemblance) from Day 1 and that made her an immediate target where several in the house wanted her gone for no other reason. Only the fact that the Moving Company (gag!) wanted David out saved her bacon - for now.
Yes, but everyone has the opportunity to watch the feeds, the show and the blogs.
Right. That's my point.
But not everyone has the opportunity to talk one-on-one with someone who lived in the house, played the game and then won it. And then met other contestants as well. Playing the game and watching the game are totally different.

as if it wasn't obvious enough how unstable the HG are, last night or the night before (?) GinaMarie admitted to being bulimic and was getting upset/worried about not being able to purge in the house.
don't tell me the producers didn't know about this before casting her.
Originally I thought it was unfair that Elissa would have a built in "Rachel" fan base when they decided to do MVP. That was the unfair advantage - name recognition, when everyone else would be splitting the vote. The I hated that she played dumb on being related to her, while milking it in the diary room with that whole "nobody gets between me and my man/big brother" in the same voice/inflection as Rachel. Vomit.
Now, I'm rooting for her because she's not a member of KKK. My, how things change...
I think with her playing dumb it wasn't so much as trying to hide it as "I know you know who I am" and since no one was really coming right out and asking her, she was like, fine, you won't straight up ask me, I won't straight up tell you.
And I think some of her Rachel-esque behavior/nobody gets in between me and BB etc is done very TIC. She practically winked at the camera.
She's not racist, she's not hating anyone irrationally, she's married so no annoying sho-mance like Brenchel and the pairings we've seen on this season-ick!, so I don't know, I kinda like her.
I didn't like Elissa because I am not a huge Rachel fan. With that said, I wanted R to win the second season she was on because she deserved it! I was mostly just afraid E would be just like her sister which she obviously is not. She actually seems pretty cool and as of now seems like one of the few normals.
I am disgusted that the racist comments continue. I might actually not watch if it continues because I don't stand for that crap at all. I am disappointed that BB doesn't seem like they will do anything except try and say they don't condone it. I won't support those few bad apple house guests by supporting it and I actually don't think BB publicists are loving this at all.
I was watching the live feed the other night and Jeremy and two other guys (I think Nick and Spencer) were talking about how they can't believe Elissa could even get a husband. I think it was Spencer who said - I hope her husband is cheating on her the whole time she is in the house, he should have another girl this summer. Revolting.
So, basically this chick who won HoH cheated? And they didn't do anything? And she's super racist and CBS is going nothing. Do I have this right?
I watched the first episode and then forgot it was on :/
I don't watch the live feeds, that's why I (unsuccessfully) tagged Mel. If they do take her HOH away, that would happen today.
Shes not the only one. One chick called welfare 'n** insurance' and one dude called the gay guy 'Kermit the f*g'. So, the gay guy has been slandered by three people, on camera.
I really don't understand why someone would continue to watch this show after this.
