Sometimes it takes a bit to load a kid in to those things. If you have to make quick exit from a bus, I can see why they'd keep the baby in. I always keep A in the ergo on public transport.
Now if it was about to topple over or otherwise unsafe, then yeah, judge away.

i'm confused what happened. these people removed the baby carrier from themselves and set it on the luggage flat area? like...so it could slide around when the bus moved? because that's weird.
Sometimes once a kid is out of something like that they freak the fuck out about going back in. So perhaps you should just shut the fuck up?
Nope.Â
But I also judge myself for the errors in my post...careless of me.
Basically to summarize at the front of the bus there is an area that you could fit a carry on suitcase. Normally it is full of grocery bags and the like. Today it was full of a baby in a frame carrier.Â
Perhaps the baby would scream outside of the carrier but it was still judge/eye roll worthy to me.
I don't believe you. If this was the case you would have said so to begin with.i
I've only been half paying attention around here lately so I could be wrong, but I think the consensus is that in these situations you're supposed to just break the window.

If only there was a helpful chart to tell me what to do

If it is the luggage rack like on the buses I am familiar with it means the kid is up near the ceiling and it is A metal rack with no straps of anything.
Something like this.
or like this
To me, putting a kid up on something like that is crazy.
Now if it is some other type of luggage rack, maybe it isn't so bad.
I think we can all agree that none of us know wtf type of rack this is. We need clarification and if the parents were right there with the baby to stop the carrier from moving.
not the above the seat ones...it is at the front of the bus. The dad was sitting close enough that he could reach out and touch the baby. So I actually wasn't judging for safety reasons, just why would you choose to leave the baby there reasons.
Seems like it probably would have been hotter for the baby and parent if the baby were on their lap. Although I have no idea what "giant frame carrier thing" is, so maybe not.

She did, dumbass. It was pretty clear to me. I would be concerned for the kid's safety if they just left him there, but otherwise, I'm pretty sure this is just a do what you gotta do situation.
oh did she fuckface? Because it seems that I am not the only one who thinks she makes no sense. I stand by Thinking she is a liar. Makes no sense.
Even if they took the baby out, what would they do with "the carrier"? Does "the carrier" fold? Are you talking about like one of those 1970s backpacks the babywearers would put their babies in? Or a carseat?
Agree with you here. Where would they have put the carrier? In a seat? So they took up a seat for someone else to sit?

I guess I'm confused where you wanted them to put the baby, and the carrier. you said you wanted the dad to hold the baby, but then where do you put the carrier? the floor? if they put the empty carrier on the rack, what were you going to do, put your groceries in it?
