3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom ranch with a 2 car garage and unfinished basement:
(Realtor photo - sorry for the bad quality!) Black shutters, navy blue door that will be replaced. We also plan on re-landscaping the entire yard.
Living room: Before:
Still to do: Make H fix the f*#(ing TV (it's crooked) and hide the cables, find new living room rug (ruined and returned due to backorder issues), clean brick on fireplace and buy better shoe storage solution (Ikea 2014 or bust!).
Kitchen: Before:
After: Imagine the same tan as the living room with no valance on the window above the sink. Eventually, we plan to redo from scratch - Cabinets have been refaced so they will work for the time being. We'll remove the wall oven, move the microwave to the center of the area it's in now and put in a double oven range under the microwave.
Dining area: Before:
After:
Refinished original wood floors. Will move the light fixture to be centered under table eventually (also, bonus points if you can spot Baby W).
Workspace: Before:
(You can see the other corner in the picture above.) I plan to finish hanging stuff on the wall and add some more lighting (probably can lights in this area and over the computer desk). Once the basement is finished, all the kid stuff will go there and the cat will eventually croak () and her stuff will be gone but she's too old to hide the cat box at this point.
Master: Before:
After:
We plan to install a ceiling fan in here eventually. The layout sucks because of the giant ass bed, but it is a nice sized room considering the size of the house and what was typical when it was built. We did put the Pella blinds on the inside of these windows.
The master half bath remains untouched.
Monkey's room: Before:
After:
After:
DIY art, the dresser in this room was my mom's and I spent for-ev-er refinishing it and the rounded top toy box was also built by my grandfather for me more than a decade ago (he made 14 of them - one for each grandchild). This room needs a ceiling fan and a new outlet behind the toy box as it was previously home to a lamp that shorted out and burned up the outlet. (NOTHING will be plugged in there until it's replaced.) Yet more Pella blinds in these windows.
Hall bath: Before:
(behind the door is the shower, the cabinets on the right are across the whole room.)
After (pardon the Instagram photo):
Whole house to do list includes: -Replacing all outlets and switches with white outlets & switches -Reinstalling quarter-round that shoddy floor refinisher never replaced -Redo both bathrooms (new tile on floor/walls, cabinets, countertops & mirrors - both toilets and the only shower stall are still in great condition and pretty new, this is just a NMS update) -Finish basement (adding 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, laundry room and living space) -Redo kitchen (new cabinetry, flooring, counters and appliances - mostly a NMS update but want to remove the wall oven and replace with cabinetry instead.

AmyRI and @choco, I will try to look when I get home. I know the living room, dining room, kitchen (not pictured) and workspace were all Behr Gobi Desert. I didn't do most of the painting (thank god for good FILs who are anal retentive about these things) and picked them out pretty quickly with no time to memorize color names!
Holy crap! You've done a TON of work. Looks great. I love that it has so much (unpainted) wood work and it's in really good shape from the look of it too. You'd expect in a house that age that it would have been painted over god knows how many times and probably not very well, but it freaking GLOWS! Lovely.
A lot of it is in rough shape, but it looks great as long as you aren't examining it really closely! They had a dog who liked to stand in windows and scratch at doors. Eventually, we'll probably replace it all. I am one of the few oddballs that doesn't mind the wood trim. It was probably nice pre-dog though!
I haven't tried to polish them up or anything yet (since quarter round is still not back on) so I'll probably look for tricks to make it look nice when I have the chance.
looks nice! I'd love to see pics of your basement.
Haha right now it's nothing but concrete walls and floors with my H's fantastic gaming collection set up in one area. I can't wait to get it finished, eventually, but I'm not sure when that will happen.

Ahhh - Ok!
You've done a LOT of work to the house, it really looks nice. I'm completely envious of that wall of windows you've got in the back!

Thank you! I will definitely post pictures of the basement when it gets going. I want to jump in and DIY a lot, but I think we'll need someone professional to help with the layout. My FIL built their house from the walls in (they used a Morton building for the exterior) so I am hoping he'll help me learn.

You've done a great job! I'm bookmarking this one because I have unpainted wood work, too, and I'm having a hard time picturing paint colors for some reason. I'm so used to white moldings! I am especially interested in what you used for the MBR. I think it might be perfect for some of my rooms.
Living space: Behr Gobi Desert (#710C-3) Monkey's room: Behr Parchment Paper (#710C-1) Baby W's room: Behr Rain Song (580A-3) Master: Behr Gray Area (#770F-4)
Thank you!!!!!!!
You're welcome! I do notice that Gray Area does seem to have a smidge of a green undertone to it during certain times of day, but once I got the white curtains up and everything, it neutrals out a lot.

We have lots of greens in the rooms I'm thinking of using the Gray Area, so that's actually ideal. Thanks!
