I just came home from having lunch with a friend (after sharing the news, of course ) and I saw that I was spotting and having a bit of pain. I am waiting for my DH to get here to go to the doctors. I know spotting is normal but I am a bit nervous because I am almost 12 weeks.
Can I have some sticky baby vibes?
Update
Thanks for the baby vibes. Today, I had my NT scan at the private hospital. I am using both the private and public systems.
(I know, I have to choose but I have had good experiences with both so far that it is hard to give one of them up)
They said that everything looked great and that the baby was measuring great and we heard the HB.
I wanted to be Team Green but the doctor told us the sex without asking if we wanted to know. However, I understood one thing and my DH another thing. So we are still Team Green for now but my DH is going crazy not knowing. Plus, I am only 12 weeks so even if there was no confusion I would have only taken it with a grain of salt.
So when did you find if it was a boy or girl? 12 weeks is way too early, no?

Thanks! I was a bit nervous today when I saw the spotting. I had a bit early on (around 5W) but never this much. I never know what to do in these situations.Because I never want to overreact. But my DH said that we should get things check out because of the pain.
The doctor said she couldn't find a reason for the spotting and she put be on bed rest for the next 48 hours. I have a follow up appointment on Friday.

Glad everything is going well. Most people find out the sex at. their 20 week anatomy scan and those tend to be fairly accurate. 12 weeks seems very early. A friend of mine had a us at 16 weeks and found out then and they were correct. Unless there are problems most people have an US at 6-8 weeks and then again at 20 (at least in the US). I'm not sure how early you can determine the sex fairly accurately but 12 weeks just seems early. Maybe if the lie is right during the US and you can see an obvious appendage (ie boy), but otherwise it seems like they have a good chance of being wrong...that's my very unprofessional opinion though

Nevermind my question! :-) I'm glad everything looks good! I don't think they can reliably see the sex on an u/s until about 16 or 17 weeks, so I really would take it with a grain of salt.

I've looked into private scans here (since I'm not sure I can wait 6 weeks for my next scan) and they'll do a sex screening scan from 16 weeks. I'm assuming if they charge for it, they must be sure they can do it although it still seems so early to me!
