That's not burlesque. That's more like...watching your strange, promiscuous, redneck cousin strip in front of your creepy old Uncles at a family reunion. I mean..kudos for having the guts and all that but yeah...
I had to dance in that fashion as I was portraying a character - Starting out at Granny and dancing down to Ellie May. A typical burlesque routine would not be like that. Tradional burlesque is much more slow, sensual and provocitive. Next time they record a tradional vaudeville burlesque show I will show you.
I have to say, in all honesty- I couldn't really notice the twirling - it looked more like shaking on the video, rather than full twirling. Perhaps the next act should have tassled pasties so that you can emphasize your newly honed twirling skills.
