I'm out ladies. Neither DH or I can get Friday off and I feel like it's too far of a drive to head up Saturday (5.5hours). I don't think we can swing it money wise either. Boo! Have fun and take lots of pics!!
What time does everyone's LO nap these days? On weekends Owen's still a 2 nap a day kiddo, so a car nap on the way there would be good for us. Sooo, if I left home at around 9-9:30 that'd be good for us, which would put us in the Falls sometime 10.

I still plan on joining you guys. 10 am works for me and I think I'm planning on walking from the American side to the Canadian side so just let me know where you want to meet up.
Ok so the 5 of us! Me, dojo, Nicole, raynes and Kandrze....yay! Would it be possible for all of us to meet on the strip somewhere? I anyone know anywhere good so we can walk to the falls together and do maid of the mist.
I know! My summer has been nothing like I planned. It has sucked royally, actually. I've never been more excited/ready for the boys to go back to school.

What a bummer Ashley!
Since kandrze1 and me are walking over the bridge, it will be easier for us to meet you somewhere between there and the maid of the mist rather than walk to the city and then back to the falls.

I don't know much about the area...I wouldn't know what to google. You think you could chose a place?

Well, I don't know the Canadian side very well. I haven't been there since 2005. I just know that there's a pathway along the river between the rainbow bridge and the maid of the mist. I don't really know any landmarks or where that is in relation to where you guys are staying. raynes are you familiar with the area? I know you were down there a couple months ago.

Ok, I'm a bit of an anal pre-planner, so I made a map!
dojo, I've marked where I plan on parking. The lot is $10/day and there's a free shuttle to the Table Rock Centre, which is at the head of the falls.
It's been a few years since I've walked around the falls (when we were there in June we didn't leave the Floral Clock/Showcase area) but I think the Maid of the Mist is basically right at the base of Clifton Hill.
I'd say the best place to meet is probably on the falls side of the Niagara Parkway/River Rd somewhere close to the Maid of the Mist. We can do that first so that hopefully the line isn't too bad, then grab lunch and explore Clifton Hill?

Tip: you can park at Fallsview Casino for free. If you have one of their free players cards, just put $20 on a table or in a machine, give them your card or swipe it in the machine, and then cash out. It will show that you gambled and when you go to leave the parking garage they swipe your card and parking is free.
ETA: when you enter the garage you don't get a slip, so you could literally park there for days and as long as you have a players card that shows you gambled the day you leave, parking is free. We always do this, even when we have stayed multiple days.

This is a good tip, however, I'll be alone with the boy, so I don't think I'd be able to get in to do that?
