I understand being scared...when we found out we were pregnant I was a full time student, DH had just gotten out of the Marine Corps and we didn't have insurance. We made too much to apply for Medicaid but other insurances wouldn't take me because pregnancy was a "pre-existing" condition. We were SO blessed there was a program in CA called "Aid for Infants and Mothers (AIM)" which took how much you made in a year, multiplied it by some percentage and that is what we paid. So we paid like...$1000 up front and a few odd lab fees, but that's it. I ended up having an emergency c-section as well. I am SO glad we found that program but until we did I was terrified. We weren't planning on kids and I didn't even know I was pregnant until was over 7 weeks along. I cried. A lot. But to us, there was no other option but to make it work and while it has been hard we couldn't see our lives without our little girl in it.
I am so glad your DH is being so supportive. You can do it!
