Oh okay this might be petty. I had to pull out of a friend's wedding b/c it was going to be WAY too expensive for us to go, let alone have me be in (wedding was in CA, I'm in Boston). She's been weird since then. We had her over for dinner (we invited FI but he couldn't be bothered to come) to celebrate the wedding. They got married Saturday. Come to find out, they had a way for people to Skype in and watch the ceremony, since a lot of people couldn't go. And she didn't tell us about that at all.
That kind of sucks, man. I don't know what to think.
Three day potty training was a fail for us this weekend. I know he's only 2.5 but it says that the three day method works best BEFORE 28 months. We were totally low key and everything is fine. He can keep trying. But inside I'm like sigh, diapers for lyfe.

I have heard more fails than successes w this method. At least w/in the actual 3 days.

I need to pay a ticket by Wed before I travel with family to see family. I'm hoping the money gods smile on me sometime before then. This ticket was from over a yr ago too!!
And I drank way too much this weekend but substituting my calories for drinks has been paying off! I was pleasantly surprised on the scale this morning!

I got back from a work trip Saturday night, and H just left for a two-month tour this morning (at 5am, blech). I am doubly bummed - first, because I feel like we didn't get to spend enough time together yesterday (it's always a last-minute frenzy of packing, etc.), and second, because he'll be gone for two months.
Luckily, the Golden Girls season 7 DVD set that I ordered off Amazon arrived today, so I can veg on the couch and eat my feelings for the next few days. I also ordered the Mummy trilogy, but I feel like that should go in a Confessions thread...
I think some people tl;dr on my thread about dog car harnesses. The people that commented they used the harnesses and didn't comment about their newly discovered ineffectiveness that I mentioned in the post.
My newest favorite afternoon snack for when I get home from work is an English Muffin and a MorningStar sausage pattie.
Is it sized well to an English muffin? I like to make myself breakfast sandwiches, and was looking for some healthier options. Sometimes I use canadian bacon, but this sounds like it would be good too.
Last night was hands down my worst night of sleep ever. I could not get comfortable, and the baby kept kicking/pinching/whatevering me straight in the ribs. That shit hurts. I had to get up 4 times to pee, then I had INSANE cramps that felt like my period was going to start any second. They lasted for awhile before I finally fell asleep.
Then I was up at 6am. Pregnancy is bullshit.
Also, I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check baby's size/position. Guys, I really don't think I'll be okay if she's still breech. I've been really breezy about everything but now it's sinking in that she definitely still could be and a c-section really scares me and I'm having a hard time accepting a new possibility of how she could be born and how I meet her. I really hope she has turned.
Hang in there, @rex. #1 was a later turner for me. It can still happen!
Also, I know it's not ideal, but a csection isn't horrible. I've had 2. I know it can be scary but the Dr's are awesome at walking you through everything that goes on.
They schedule a c-section for 39 weeks if she hasn't turned. When did yours end up turning?
I think I'm just nervous because I'd know about it beforehand, if that makes sense. If it was an emergency c-section I don't have time to think about it and would be fine. But knowing ahead of time that ill be in an OR, can't see anything, etc makes the whole experience a little daunting.
I know I just need to not worry about this until tomorrow when I know for sure.

It's smaller than the muffin. But I like when my sandwiches are more bread than meat.

I read it and answered the question you asked. The information is interesting and frightening but I don't plan to change the way I restrain my dogs at this point, based on one study funded by a company that markets to dog owners based on accessory packages it can sell to restrain dogs.

What do you want people to say? There's no great alternative.
If just said they used a harness system but didn't comment on the test results I just wondered if they didn't read about the ineffectiveness of the harness. Thats all.
I'm sad because with my type of car and the large size of my dog the only system that would have fit in the vehicle was some sort of harness restraint.

We did our walk through! Just got back actually. I don't know why I thought we were just going to whip through the house; we were there almost 2 hours. The guy walking us through was super enthusiastic, actually, and he was better at spotting paint touch-ups and the like. So we should close by Friday or Monday at the latest. I really love our finishes and our kitchen especially. H took a picture of me in it; I look like an ant.
The only surprise that came up is that our dryer is a gas hook-up instead of electric. So looks like we need to get a new one. I'm hoping to get one of those ones with the steam option

It is totally my DREAM! I love hosting and I have ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted a double oven! I can't get over how much storage space we have, too. My H said to me, "You know, we don't have to fill it all." LOL!

Very nice; I love dark cabinets with light countertops.
