1. The exhaust fell off my car this weekend and now I have no car. It needs a lot of work at this point and we need to get a new car instead of wasting more money on it. H is trying to convince me that we need a minivan. I do not want a minivan. But he'll probably win. Nooooooooo
2. I am having a hard time sleeping so while I went to bed at a decent time and Matilda slept all night I'm still tired.
3. At swimming now we can tie a pool noodle around Matilda and she will kick kick kick from hubby to me, with nobody touching her! It's amazing. She won't do it from me to H because well she is a mommyclinger lol
I am really liking the new Grand Caravan's. The body style is nice. This is most likely what we will be getting in a few weeks.
he specifically wants us to get a "Mazda 5 grand touring minivan" he says its "not really a minivan". but it actually is.
Basically we need a car that has enough room to fit two carseats, gear for trips, a 110lb dog and allow my husband to sit comfortably in either passenger or driver seat. He is 6'2 and can't fit easily in a lot of cars.
VW passat wagon is one of the few wagons we could do he says, but we are having a hard time finding one with low mileage in our budget. Damn, cars are expensive? I've spent a while this morning looking around and I can't find anything nearby.
We are going to see a passat tonight but it's been listed on CL for two weeks which seems suspicious to me. But who knows.

1. okay crisis averted (FFFC, I thought that was spelled overted, oops), our work lunch is amazing so I'll skip the dreaded burrito and instead will enjoy these sugar snap peas, gouda cheese and sundried tomato pesto salmon. YUM! Please stomach don't get angry.
2. My boss received an edible arrangement today, she let me have some and I chose a chocolate covered banana, it was FUCKING amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. I wore my 'work' black pants to my nephew's baptism yesterday, and because we forgot to do more laundry last night, my other pair of 'work' pants were dirty. So I decided to wear the pants I wore yesterday again (whatever, don't judge me. lol (huh)) to work today. Well I forgot that at the party yesterday Nolan dropped cake icing on my pants, argh.....I had to sponge it off and go about my day. meh...

1. We went to the outlets today and I finally got my nude pumps.
2. My kid is BSC today and I need a nap after chasing him all morning.
3. A girl had this tight shirt on and had hoisted her boobs up so high for more cleavage, that her areola was peeking out the top. Keepin' it klassy in O-Town.

As a person with 2 car seats and a 100lb dog, a mini van is the way to go! I need one desperately.

Go @tambcat!!!
Good luck at your interview tomorrow @gisa
musiclover, you are cracking me up!! Beans beans good for your heart!
laurack We got a minivan last week, I love it! The doors alone are awesome, you can open them with a push of a button on the remote, the actual door, or a button on the dash! We changed his diaper in the trunk yesterday, super easy! And this morning I discovered a mirror that is perfectly placed to keep an eye on your kids, I mean the van makes you have eyes in the back of your head!! haha
1. I got antibiotics for my crazy face infection and (thank God) my eyes are no longer swollen. But, the antibiotics are making me feel super nauseated and reminding me of how I felt 1st tr.
2. May and I were looking at a book and I said, "Where's the butterfly?" and she pointed to the butterfly tattoo on my hip. Then I said, "Where's May's butterfly?" and she checked out her hip to see if she had a butterfly and then got upset when she realized she didn't. It was so cute and so sad. I might have to get my 1 year old a tattoo. Lol.
3. I am obsessed with this 24 hour drive through coffee place called Dutch Bros. I need to stop, but it is sooo good and all the drinks come in sugar free. They even have coconut milk, which I wish I had known when May was MSPI.
Only one thing - I applied for a new job, and I think I have a good chance of at least getting an interview! I'm already so nervous. It's way outside of my comfort zone, but it would be great experience for me if I continue in the practice of law.
Well, that excitement was short-lived. I just discovered that where I work now is not counted as part of the state personnel system for purposes of FMLA. So I would not be eligible for FMLA at the new job, and I already knew there was no special maternity leave. I could still use accrued paid time off if they would let me, but I won't have the full 6 weeks I'd like to take, and I don't know if they would let me take the time I do/will have anyway. So basically I am suck where I am or go somewhere in the private sector with great benefits.
If you are offered the position you could condition it upon them holding your position whe you are out on leave. I started my job at 7 months pregnant and they had no problem with me taking 8 weeks leave, in fact they seemed surprised it was so short. I also work I the public sector.
1. I got hired on the spot last week and had to put in my two weeks today. I wanted to cry and jump for joy at the same time.
2. I think my landlord just broke his mower on something in my yard and I'm waiting for the knock on the door. While he's here I think I'll tell him that the soap dish fell off when H bumped it. I hate apartments.
3. I want coffee. At 2:30 pm. It is 90 degrees out.

(We got a nissan quest)
That's what I have! I kept reading your post going, mine too...mine to..MINE TOO!!!!

I wouldn't count it out as an option just yet. You probably wouldn't be eligable for a paid maternity leave, but unless the company is looking to get rid of you, they wouldn't fire you while you were on a 6 week leave, not right after they trained you.
And, maybe this job would have a big raise, so the unpaid time wouldn't matter :-).
My friend, who got pregnant right after she took a new job, was told she could stay out (unpaid) as long as the doctor wrote her out for, so she took 8 weeks.

I love Dutch brothers! Where are you located?
I'm in Sacramento, but my parents and in laws live in Davis, so we spend a lot of time there and that's where I get Dutch Brothers.
1. My sister is giving me the silent treatment because I declined watching her kids today on my first day off in a week. I watched them on my last day off, and listened to the 7 month old cry for eight hours. I have a ton to do today, have been looking forward to a day off with my kiddo all week, and asking me at ten pm the night before to give up my day off to watch her kids is rude. And even ruder to be mad when I say no.
2. We are watching a Thomas the engine movie, and J loves it. Except when a train is not on the screen. Then he says "Where choo choo?" over and over until it goes back to the train.
3. I start class tomorrow, and I am really nervous. I haven't been in a classroom in over 10 years.
