there's a woman in there who carries a gun IN HER DIAPER BAG, people.
do you know how long it takes me to find the fucking diaper cream? how are you going to find the gun in time to use it? you'll have resorted to throwing 17 dirty pacis, 6 outgrown diapers, a crapped-on onesie and a dirty bottle at the guy before you'll ever get to that gun.

They were freaking me out because that level of paranoia + pregnancy hormones is an accident waiting to happen.
2. Isn't the point of UO to state...UOs? Then why all the "Oh, your UO is dumb because XYZ..." reactions?
That's all I got. And I had to stop on the first page. It was boring.
You missed the best one. That wasn't until page 4.
This is what kicked off the thread, courtesy of greywolf18:
My UOs: I wholeheartedly believe in gay marriage. I'm bisexual, and have many lesbian friends who have waited decades to finally have the government recognize their commitment to each other. I also believe in polygamy, but can see how that could easily slide into a sticky mess. So I'm torn - while I don't see gay marriage as opening a "gateway" for other alternative marriages, I do see polygamists using gay marriage as an argument to say "hey, two women or two men can marry, so why can't two women and one man marry?" My opinions are total contradictions. I have to admit (and please no hate... I had an m/c last year at 7w6d and I'm NERVOUS), each time I see a goodbye post, a tiny part of me is happy because it plants me more firmly on the 3/4 pregnancies that succeed side of the statistic. I feel awful for all those women's losses, don't get me wrong! I believe in abortion (in most cases), but feel that if one person has two abortions they should be spayed. That alleviates the use of it as "birth control" yet keeps gaggles of kids being born to leech off the welfare system. I think foster families should be registered like sex offenders on a website. If I'd known the house I was buying was located next to TWO of them, I'd likely not have bought it. The one family is nasty and I have to watch my DD constantly outside or tell her she can't go outside when those kids are loitering in the road. (With that said, the other family is WONDERFUL and I love their kids!). Fire away! Lol the foster one was more of a vent than anything. The mother pisses me the eff off. But I only have experience with these two families, so my UO is not based on a proper sampling. It could be greatly skewed and I recognize that.

Did you guys see the one who is secretly happy every time somebody else has a miscarriage because she thinks it puts her more firmly in the 75% side of the statistic?
I tried to get through those threads. I really did. But they're just making me dumber. And with two kids having sucked all my brain cells out of my body for their own sustenance, I'm dumb enough already.
Good gawd, The Bump is enough to make me want to run from the internets for ever.

Duh, it's part of the text wall quoted above.
I'm mobile and miss my physical keyboard!
She is a delight, isn't she ? She also believes people who have more than 2 abortions should be spayed, and foster homes should be registered like sex offenders so she doesn't have to live near them.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

The word salad in that Greywolf post is like an Onion article. I'm no statistician, but I don't think someone else's miscarriage makes yours less likely? Aren't these independent events?
I haven't made it past page 1 yet, but why does every UO thread involve someone saying she hates mayonnaise? That comes up every week on my BMB. Way to jump out on that limb with a real controversial opinion there.
I just wanted to say thank you for helping me pass the time at this horrible field hockey game I'm supervising. We are down by ten, thus those threads are far more entertaining.

The writer of this post needs to come post here.
re: why April 2014 is the zoo of the Bump boards:
"because as a board we have people openly admit the following: they carry a loaded weapon in their diaper bag, sleep with loaded weapons next to their bed, hit their kids, don't like gay people because God said so, don't like foster kids, don't think poor people should buy skittles, don't believe women should have a right to their reproductive organs, or even worse should be spayed for exercising such right. The list goes on and on. This my friends is why this board is the laughing stock of the bump. It is very unusual to see so many uneducated bigots in one place that is not the Texas senate."
Oh and also I fucking hate when people talk about some sort of war on Christianity. There is no war on Christianity. There's just a lot of people who don't want your religion forced down their throat all the time.
You can bet that any one of those war on Christianity assholes would be first in line to protest any sort of public display of any other religion. They consider religious equality a war on them. The same way equality in marriage is a war on Christian marriage. News flash Christians... we're not trying to steal your rights, we're just trying to make sure everyone has the same rights.
I can't keep going on this. Whiskey makes me angry.
