Story Time Sunday- Mother's Day Edition

What did everyone do today?

This afternoon, we went to go see the jackass penguins at the aquarium. They are visiting from South Africa. It was a quick aquarium trip, but definitely fun.





The first half of the day we beached it. The weather was lovely, and it was nice to play in the sand. This afternoon (after the aquarium) we rocked on the porch and watched the ocean. I hope your eyes don't burn from my blazing white skin.

I've done absolutely nothing and it has been wonderful.

I've been shomiting since 4am and spent 2 miserable hours at brunch.

Liz, I'm sorry you had a sucky mothers day. DH had to work (he did get me a spa day). So I went to breakfast and hung out with my parents. Now sitting at the ILs drinking wine and letting DH and FIL take care of DS.

We went to the zoo. I don't know if you can see the giraffes in the background or not. In case anyone was wondering, the Indianapolis zoo is only good for one thing, people watching.

Well, it has to be better than the Indy zoo! It was $40 for 2 adults + parking. Totally not worth it. We should have gone to see the new Joss Whedon movie instead, but I doubt they had a baby matinee.

We had a relaxing day. We had a yummy brunch at an Irish pub downtown. Mimosas and bloody marys. Then I took a two hour nap.

You are not going to believe this, but she is potty trained!! She has accidents here and there, but that's normal for a 3 year old.

Poopers, was it busy? Ours was but I think we were the only mothers day brunchers there. That being said it was awesome and we are doing it again for fathers day!

No, they weren't busy. They started to get busy by the time we left. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up there for Father's Day as well!

All of my plans went out the window when DD woke up shomitting at 3am. Fortunately, DH got up with her and dealt with most of the grossness. That might have been the best mother's day gift ever. She's feeling better, but we just stayed close to the bathroom just in case!

Mother's Day sucked. I wrote a 7 page paper about the sexual revolution. OH NO WAIT, I'M STILL WRITING IT. If only I weren't a rampant procrastinator, I could have enjoyed my day.

Ugh this semester is never going to end.
