Pleasure me pockets!!! That was hilarious. I'm so glad Michael Kors was on the show.
I'm not sure I agree with the out decision, but I'm not sure I don't. Karen's outfit would be fine as separates and wasn't completely traditional. Ken's outfit was very safe--although I did like the back. I need to ponder this some more.
I didn't particularly care for Helen's jacket. I would never wear that and the weird green peeking thought was just that, weird. Alexander definitely impressed me with his. I felt his was the most practical and cute and I would totally wear all three pieces.
I actually was impressed that Karen whipped that out at the last minute. Her pants looked really comfy and with the exception of the fit issue in front, I can see them being very marketable. I do agree that the top was too loose for the fit of the pants, but it wasn't awful. (P.S. I saw her a few nights ago in my neighborhood.)
Also glad to see Michael Kors. He was kind of on fire last. Wasn't sure he was able to gain his composure after the pleasure pockets comments.
Repost from H&F: When Ken made a comment about using black on the bottom to disguise sweat, I was like - you understand me!
Most of what I saw, I made comments like - fabric too heavy, wouldn't breathe, bad for chafing, and on and on.
Who had the asymmetrical jacket? Alexander? I kind of liked that. It was between Ken and Alexander for me for wearability. I did like Helen's pants though. They were a little hard to see but I think they were an overlay with green underneath. Didn't like Kate's at all - too heavy and that jacket back zipper swinging around, just no.
Yeah- Helen's didn't "wow" me, but I can understand why the judges liked it.
The bottom 3- I liked Karen's pants too. The fit needed work, but I thought they were wearable otherwise. The top, though, was horrid.
Ken - no creativity in his.
Alexandria's - I find it hard to believe Heidi really liked those pants. UGLY. But after Tim made the point about "after the hostess tells you great idea...", what did they expect her to do? It's almost like Heidi HAD to like them in order to keep her from losing.
I'm not sad Karen is gone, though. She really isn't very creative (that glamping outfit?! She should have been auf'd for that!!) and last night just reinforced that. And while she was nice, the way she talks and her facial expressions kind of annoyed me.
OH- but Ken. Hell. He is such a hypocrit. He's yelled in the past about "don't disrespect me!", then goes on and cusses helen out? He annoys the hell out of me. He says one thing but does another. IFor that reason, I wish he had been auf'd.

Poo-pants: All I could think about was chafing. My legs would have rubbed so much in those pants that I would have been hobbling along on stubs after my run/walk/anything that involved leg movement.
Karen reminds me of Joan Cusack.
Ken = Sandro 2.0. I've been getting that from him for a while now; last night confirmed it.
Last night, after we watched this episode, my husband (who swears he doesn't really like this show and watches just to appease me, but then critiques everything coming down the runway and talks about some things being "very catalog" or textile X being "difficult to work with) looked up the sportswear line and said he couldn't find Helen's jacket, which was the entire reason she won.

Ha! I've had the same experience w/ my DH. Not to quite the degree of detail as yours, but if he ever does happen to be i nthe room when it's on - he'll start commenting on the fashions.
LOL! And HE'S the one who has tried to see if his brother (whose company has a large role in running Fashion Week) can get us in to the PR show. It makes me laugh. (Sadly, it's REALLY tight security around the show that his brother doesn't know if he can ever get us in.)

I just watched the episode last night and DH was in the room while I was watching. He laughed so hard at MK's comments especially the "pleasure pockets". Seriously DH was almost crying he was laughing so hard.
It made me wish MK was a regular judge again. The drop crotch pants were awful.
