Ok sorry this is quick and dirty in MS Paint while I'm working, but I think this is kind of more of the shape people are thinking. (Ignore the weird squiggly part on the tapered end. Imagine it all one line.. and a little more rounded.)

The color is fine. It's the size and shape. It doesn't look natural. You have a beautiful face! You dont want people to look you and notice your eyebrows, but that's all anyone can focus on when you do them like that.
Also, if you're trying to go more for the retro look of the 40's and 50's, just make the underside of the arch more rounded and slightly less sharp than what I did in paint.
don't give up! i swear to god, i went from my natural brows in 8th grade (which resemble hugh acheson's):
to rooney mara in the girl with the dragon tattoo in 9th grade:
and then by the middle of 10th i'd finally managed to find a plucking style that works for me and makes me look like neither frieda khalo nor popeye. and i'm not particularly talented. with tweezers or makeup.
do what tamb says for a day. just fill in lightly without drawing an outline or having an outline in mind. see what that looks like. go from there. the new color is great.
Here is a great tutorial. I usually stop at about 1:20 and skip the pencil part of it, but her shape and style is pretty good.
I didn't watch the video so this isn't a remark about the eyebrow tutorial, but just based on the still, I'm pretty sure this isn't the video I'd watch if what I was looking for is more natural-looking makeup.
Yo, stop judging book cover and shit and watch it.
