I'd really hate to see Jillian end up with custody and now she's got a kid and a drug habbit. That whole situation with the promoter and Chalky's friend whose name I can't remember was so uncomfortable. I'm kind of glad he killed him.

Purnsley was in a real bad way. Look, the man's an idiot for trying to sleep with a married woman. He's an even bigger idiot given the woman/husband were white. But once he was in that situation, I don't think he really had a lot of choice. He had to kill the promoter. If he refused to have sex with the wife, he would have been shot or arrested for rape. If he had sex with the wife he probably still would have been turned in for rape.
Re: Gillian 1) Why doesn't/didn't Julia tell the judge hen he asked under what circumstance the boy came to be with her that the boy was brought to her home following a gunfight in Gillian's home? Is she afraid of incriminating Richard? Or would the fact that he was dropped off there by someone other than family mean instant denial of custody?
2) Do we think Gillian has a heroin addiction from when she was drugged in the finale? Because her life is falling to shit? Or to help her get through the prostitution, since she seems to shoot up before having sex.
The federal agent is something else and not surprised he set up his partner. I was actually surprised Gillian was alive since it looked like she overdosed in the finale.
I think Julia didn't tell either she was afraid of the mob or not wanting to get Richard in trouble.
Great episode. I'm really glad this is back. I wonder if Richard kept away from his sister out of shame or embarrassment from his injury.
I love me some Chalky White. Will be glad if they develop his character some more. Plus, H and I were loving the NYC historical tidbits, coincidentally of stuff we've actually have been hearing about lately.
