Ok, I am writing an after interview thank you letter to a principle I interviewed with this week. I think it went really well. I asked her about the new school garden they had put in last school year and she got really excited and started telling me all kinds of stories about the garden and the students. When I left the interview she told me she was very excited to have met me and said they will be looking over all of the candidates. Well, without thinking too much into I picked out a hallmark card that had some pretty potted flowers on it since we talked a lot about the garden. Well, now I am not sure if I should just use the card and hand write a nice message or type up a typical formal thank you letter. I am sure I am thinking way too much into this but it is stressing me out! lol
I don't see anything wrong with a hand written note. You don't see that too often these days. It might make an impression.
Good luck!!!
That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if it would come across as unprofessional or not. But I think my gut is telling me to write the card.
I always look more favorably on hand written notes - it's something a lot of people don't do, and it makes a person feel more personable. I only do email thank you's if I've interviewed and I know it's the last day and they won't get the card before they make a decision.
