Sometimes. Sugar doesn't affect her too terribly. I usually have a mini candy bar or something after dinner so now Lucy does too. But her bedtime snack isn't sweet. More of a tooth thing than a behavior thing though
Yes, they get dessert every night. It's their reward if they don't get three strikes during the day for being naughty. They have a small scoop of ice cream, a cookie or sometimes they'll get a candy (we are still working through the candy from Easter). It's a huge motivator for them not to get strikes!
Depends. DS tells us what he wants. Sometimes a cookie or icecream or a freeze pop. Sometimes he'll want a "2nd dessert" - which we tell him has to be something like raisins or grapes.
Sugar doesn't usually affect him, so I'm not worried about him having something sweet in the evening.
Yes, not every night, but most nights. I have not noticed the sugar getting in the way of them sleeping. If they do not have something like ice cream, they might get some vanilla Greek yogurt with a small dollop of jam on top.

If we have something special, he does, but we don't have a dessert every night kind of tradition. He'll often get fruit or something as a reward for eating his dinner because the kid loves fruit. Sometimes, it's a cookie if we happen to have some. Something small like that doesn't usually affect his bedtime. He also can't have ice cream anyway because of lactose intolerance.

I hope to involve Connor in the kitchen, and if we bake something together I'll let him have a portion or piece as dessert. I'm not saying all desserts would have to be homemade, but growing up desserts were almost never in the house bc my mom said she had no control not to eat them all if we did. I get that, but I think it's a bad example to set for a kid when trying to establish a healthy relationship with food.
not daily. but she does get treats sometimes, and not always after the last meal of the day as a regular thing. lately we've realized we've been giving way too many treats so we're scaling back. i'm rather out of control in the treat department and am setting a bad example.
She gets a graham cracker or animal cracker every time we leave nana's house (about once a week) and a chocolate chip if she pees on the potty (also about once a week) but those are the only cookies/candies that happen regularly. And the ubiquitous birthday treats at preschool.
Yes, usually. It might be something like strawberries with sliced bananas or frozen grapes. Other times it is a treat, such as ice cream or cookie. Depends on where we are at, if they finished their dinner, etc.

Most nights. I guess BM would bribe SDs to finish their plates with desserts. They came to us for summer and had a melt down when they were young because we didn't have dessert. We now have dessert but if we don't have it they are old enough to not melt down.
