2 hours was a lot, so I don't even remember what I watched last night.
a)as a nurse, as always, this show drives me crazy. Surgeons do not rule the hospital. They don't run around collecting supplies, meds and chest tubes. They don't even have access codes to get these things, let alone know where to find them, at least in my hospital. I know this show is about surgeons and they cant waste time on extras, but it is so inaccurate.
b) power to Cali for leaving Arizona, temporary or not. You can't get caught cheating and have everything be ok.
c) owen and Christina. I want their sex life.
d) glad Richard woke up, hope he's ok.
e) cant believe they killed off heather. guess that was necessary to make what's his face conflicted all season.
rumor has it contracts are up and many of the originals are leaving the show. are they really going to try to continue it with these new interns, or have this be a final season?

Tina Majorino (now known as Dead Intern Heather) has a new show (TNT's Legends) coming out, that's why they killed her off. As far as contracts go, I think Mer and Der will stay but pull back on their involvement because they haven't really hinted at leaving yet. I know Patrick Dempsey just finished his own show, but neither one has said they want out. One original has already confirmed that he/she will be leaving this season. I'm really sad for that.

Huge thumbs up to part a
As for e, I called it a few minutes in. When Bailey was demanding interns find Weber I figured whichever one ended up in the basement was the one that would be killed. Because clearly Weber's voiceover was meant to be a bait and switch. Obvious show is obvious.
I have a feeling they're going to try to sell us on the interns as the replacement. Them using Meredith's story about George was anvilicious. But I don't think they'll make a call about whether this is the final season or not until they get people's reactions to the interns.
I don't give 2 shits about the new interns. Shonda needs to wrap this show up, it is so stale when you compare it to Scandal, which is so much better and clearly where she focuses her energy now.
this is Sandra Oh's (Christina) last season. Contract negotiations for the other main characters are supposed to happen earlier than last time so that they will know who is leaving before they finish writing the season.
I will not watch the how once Derek and Meredith go. It would be really hard for them to transition the show to a whole new cast (the interns) and keep the viewers.
My husband was getting mad because I kept wishing death on all of the interns - like each one would go to find the others and die, but Richard would somehow live. I just don't care about them and don't even know their names! I think this episode is supposed to be the "now we're bonded, we're family" episode as a bridge between the Meredith, Karev, Christina, but they are so not interesting, so I don't see it happening.

This needs to be the last season. I really, really hope they end it. I love Grey's, but Sandra Oh is leaving, and she is too major of a character to try to keep it going without her. The show has kind of sucked ever since Katherine Heigl left, but I kept watching because I still love the original characters. I was pissed when Sloan died because, well, he's amazing eye candy. I just can't imagine the show being worth watching if Christina is no longer in it.
So many times when I watch the show, I think that I bet medical professionals hate so many things about it, as it can't be realistic.
I'm sad about Cali and Arizona. I really don't like this cheating story line because the two of them are so cute together.
I really dislike Owen, and will flamefully admit it's because I don't think he's hot. I miss Christina and Burke.
I couldn't care less that they killed off Heather. She was annoying.

My Grey's highlight reel consists solely of the "code black/bomb" episode, the ferry/mere drowning episode, and denny dying. This show has been going downhill ever since. A few years ago they had their first NICU scene, and I've disrespected the writing ever since. (NICU nurse)

I agree with almost all of this! I *hate* Owen with a passion. I don't find him hot at all. I also have been rewatching the series and when he was first introduced, I feel like he was so abusive to Christina. To the point where he hit her and she told Mer she fell down the stairs to explain her injury. Between that and him badgering her about the abortion, I really, really, really hate him. Burke was so much better.
While I don't like the storyline, I do think that Callie leaving was a good response. Arizona seemed to think her cheating was no big deal. She must know Callie's history with George cheating, I think her response was pretty spot on.
All the interns suck and are so boring. I hope they end this show sooner than later, even though I will miss it.

I really hope they make this the last season. I love Grey's but its time...especially with Sandra Oh leaving. Its the perfect opportunity to wrap things up.
I can't stand the new interns - I feel like they have tried several times to bring in new interns and make us like them and they always fail.
I am so sick of Arizona - I still wish she had died in the plane crash. - They also showed her feet twice during the episode, it seems that her leg must have magically grown back.

I also really dislike Owen, although I do think they've tried to redeem him. The abortion stuff had me seething.
As awful as the ghost sex was, I still came back. They lost me the season of Mer/Der's horrendous trial. They made it only single-blinded for plot purposes, which pissed me off nearly every episode. But I came back for a slight improvement when that was over. But it really needs to be killed without Christina.

I just wanted to say I love your SN. "SO AND SO...THE UGLY ONE!"
