My mom also hates to pump her own gas. She grew up in Jersey where they always pump it for you, and then in the area where I grew up, self-service stations were the exception rather than the rule, at least until I was a teenager. Once my brother and I were teenagers, if she had to use a self service station, she would make one of us pump it for her.

I'm sure if the choice were pump it herself or run out, she would be capable of it, but she has been known to drive past a perfectly acceptable (even cheaper) self-service station just to find one where someone else will pump it for her.

Until I got to "wait. She's going to drive home and put on a bra rather than just pump gas?" The funny part would be "I'm braless and don't want to pump gas because I'm never braless and have huge hooters and it's totally embarrassing. But I'm going to hop out all bouncy and/or jiggly and/or saggy and pump the damn gas so I can get home, even if everyone I know sees me and my boobs in all their glory."

But then I'm currently braless, having just driven to the elementary school to drop off the grands. BRALESS AT SCHOOL! THE HORROR!
