When did this escalate so quickly?! Damn Frkls I'm sorry. I'm hoping the stent help get things under control. Prayers from a lazy, bad catholic coming your way. (())
Ugh. I'm sorry. don't be afraid to ask the specialist to fill in the reasoning between "controlled with medication" and on the transplant list. You deserve to know!

Frkls, I'm so sorry the condition is so severe, but I'm glad to her he's in excellent hands and it sounds like they have a stable plan for how to move forward.
I feel like I missed something as well; I had no idea this was going on. Big hugs to you. (heart)
I kind of feel like I missed something, too. After the heart cath, his regular cardiologist made it sound like everything was okay and would be managed with medicine but just to be safe he wanted him to see this heart failure specialist. We saw the specialist this morning and she was talking in terms of *when* he gets the transplant. She also told us about the stent like she thought we already knew. It was weird...and jarring!!
I completely understand this. When we had M going through his cardiac stuff, we felt the same way. We knew he had to have the operation, but everyone played everything so cool, we thought it would be sometime in the nextfew months. Then, the day after he ws seen, we were told that there was an "opening" in the schedule, and he'd have it in the next two days! He didn't even know he had a heaart problem or speak/understand English at that time! The doctors realized the severity and fit him in. There were a few other things, as well, but it was like they were trying to ease us into the reality by telling us a softened version of the truth to digest before telling us all the details.
I hope this is the last shock you get, that the stents work wonderfully, and that everything goes as well as it possibly can. I'll be praying for you all.
I'm so sorry Frkls. Many many hugs to you all. I really hope this stent does the trick for a good long time. But if it doesn't- I'm so glad to hear all that info you gave about the medical team he has! It sounds like he is the best hands :-)
