It reminds me of the underlying element of Alias and Fringe, that she was trained/groomed to be an agent from a young age. For some reason this has made her a target to the husband (agent of whomever).
I'm not sure. I get what she was saying about "creating a family" (pretty much that whole profile yourself thing).
I can see where she's hoping for an explanation. Any explanation. She needs him to be her constant in a way that is deeper than she can consciously express. So she's feeling pretty raw about it right now.
I thought it was her dad too in the first episode but then in the second he made a crack about being her dad so that made me think nope, he's not.
We're enjoying it so far. but I hate her hair, it looks like a wig and it bothers me. Curious what's up with the husband
I think it is a wig. I was lookig at her IMBD photos and she has short hair which looks much better than on the show. I am kind of hoping it will be short eventually.
i likex it enough to keep watching. I love James Spader.
Ok I'm really enjoying the show and hope it doesn't get cancelled soon!
I hope they expand on the classified information from ballistics soon and more on the relationship between Reddington had with her dad.
DH and I wonder what is up with Reddington. He's sometimes free to wander the streets but in the first episode (and maybe 2nd) was in that weird box that moved when Lizzy entered the room to talk to him.

He wasn't free, he escaped. He pulled the tracker they had on him.
Now I think since they trust him he has some freedom but they move him every 48 hours to a new undisclosed location which was one of the requirements of him giving the blacklist.

Oh! That makes sense. I must have missed that part. I remember the requirement to never spend more than 2 nights in the same spot and wondered what that was about if he's just out wandering the world.

This is a stupid random point, but it pissed me off beyond BELIEF in the first episode, when her husband asked her to pick between the zoo and the Air and Space Museum and she was like, "Zoo -- more gender neutral." WTF?
I'm watching the first episode. Ok - on her FIRST DAY with the CIA, she makes an appt w an adoption agency?!?!
Annoying plot point.
Ya know I didn't even think about it but good point. I would never set up something like that for my first day of work. Especially if it was at the CIA.

well, it was actually the FBI. I guess they are known for being more family friendly.

I can't claim that I was listening that closely, but it was my impression that they had been waiting for "the call" for awhile and by bad/good luck it just happened to occur that day (e.g., a mom picking them as potential adoptive parents, and subsequently a last-minute visit from the agency to confirm suitability).

My mother said the same thing, so maybe I'm the one who wasn't paying good enough attention.
I watched the first 3 episodes in one sitting and am totally hooked. I do love James Spader and I'm really interested to see how this all pans out especially with her husband. I want to know more of Reddington's backstory too.
I dont understand how he was in Haiti? Did he escape then? If yes, would they really let him roam around again? And I know he has to keep up appearances, but leaving the country alone?
Thank you. I know he has a tracker in him, but seriously... he's allowed to have his own plane fly around the world?!?!

YES, remember he has full immunity so its not like he is a criminal
