I just hit a wall on Monsarno upgrades--you can't go past 7 until part 2. Each upgrade gives more citizens tasks to earn corn and fertilizer, so maybe we'll be able to craft things before part 2 starts.

I've got enough stuff to get the cane field but im holding out for the market.

I've upgraded monsarno and got the mutant pet. So now, I wait. I need to get the farmers market, but it seems almost unattainable.

I upgraded hoping it would unlock more characters to earn the special items. Now I can send brainiacs to earn DNA but I wish I would have waited until I got the market.

I feel like they are trying to force people into spending real money this time... Last couple events it was possible to get everything without spending a single doughnut... This event definitely not.

I felt this way too.  DH felt this way, and he stopped playing.  I hope he comes back after this event.  I HATED this event.

I spent 6 donuts on the houseboat Mon night, believing they'd actually end the damn event Tuesday , but I have it (and I've gotten 6 more donuts with music notes since).
