help me convince DH that we need a PS4

I have been wanting to play Final Fantasy for a while now, but our Playstation is somewhere deep in storage. I told DH that we should get a PS4, but NOOOO. We already have a Playstation, go look into storage!

But I don't want to!!!! I'm whiny and extremely lazy!!!

So, we need a PS4, right? And to buy the Final Fantasy games I want to play. Never mind that we own them...but there are a ton of discs to each game. They have less discs now...right?

Or do you think a good compromise would be a PS3?

We have a ps3 and dh is not planning to upgrade to ps4. He said that, for the money it would cost to upgrade he's not that impressed with the new system.

Our bank account is happy!

Yeah, you should get a PS3! Though I'll admit, I mostly like ours because it plays Blu-ray.

I'm a PS whore. I refuse to play anything on XBox. Yes, get the PS3. A lot of the older Ps2 games are on the PS store, so you don't even need the discs!

This is where we're at. Truth be told, we mostly game on our PC. We built it from scratch to last us quite a while.

Well, as a person who has a PS2 and still purchased a PS3... yep, you need a PS3.

I wouldn't bother with the PS4.

As much as I'd love the PS4, I can't justify the cost of it. Especially since new consoles always have such huge flaws and glitches that require a ton of work to fix. We plan on buying one, but not for awhile; at least until the price comes down and all the bugs are worked out.

Plus, it's not going to be backward compatible, right? That was a big deal breaker for me.

Nope, no backwards compatibility, which sucks. However, you will be able to access the library via streaming or buying in the PS store.

Spidey is a huge PS fan. We have the PS 1, 2, and 3. He will be getting the PS4. I told him that it is my wedding gift to him. You should at least get the PS3.

Which FF games do you want to play? You should be able to play most of them (including the newest one) on a PS3.

Yeah, we have a 1,2,3 and a new 3 slim line. We have two ps3 because my dh had the original ps3 which was backwards compatible before they took it out. Then it stopped playing bluerays, and someone bought us a slimline for a wedding gift. So the old ps3 is in the gaming tv, and the new one is in the front room.
I already looked at maybe getting the next lvl of all the gaming platforms, but not when they first come out. They have huge bugs, and the game selection sucks for a few months.

Yeah - you need the PS3. I'm not bothering with the PS4 because I have a ton of fancy rock band equipment that won't be compatible.
